    Thanks Mark .

Finally got some pics of it in daylight today.

Needs a very slight trim of the driveshafts for the centres to fit the front wheels.

Even got a MIGweb sticker on it today as well.

    Scene wheels!

Has the back settled? It looks a little higher than the front I think.

I know. But i'd seen a picture of a Cavalier in the same colour with those wheels and felt they just looked right on the car. It had nothing to do with the fact I had them sitting about and threw them on because it handled like a boat on the 205/50's fitted to the Sport steelies .

Yeah i'd noticed the rear is a touch higher. Must need to settle as you say, but I don't think'll drop it any lower tho. It rides and handles fine as it is, even with the 16's .

    Said goodbye to the 'SceneLines'....

    Much better.

The 'Stance' could be better, but i'm not bothered. Also the Calibra will be stripped of it's engine and not 'just' for sake of the engine. Shell's knackered so not worth repairing. So the XE will be going into the Cavalier at some point soon.

    Re: Cavalier daily beater

Well had the dreaded MOT time last week.

Wasn't sure if this car would be fit for a test. So after bit of thinking and a couple of beers, a plan for getting the Cavalier sorted came together. TBH the list wasn't that bad.

    New drop links
    Fuel lines
    Front discs and pads
    two patches of welding
    Rear brake lines and flexis
    One track rod end

Not really that hard (or expensive) and done fairly quickly. The joys of Cavaliers, easy to work on.

Laugh is, other than an a quick thrash (emissions) and a headlight bulb not fitted right. It passed! Quite chuffed really for an old car, as my last daily needed far more work doing and it was a 52 plate!!

I'll get some piccies loaded up soon of some of work that has been done so far .
