Mk3 Astra Cabrio LET conversion.

Any ideas anyone has will be much appreciated and needed. Have most parts to do it Just need help and advice on the do's and don'ts really.

So in a few hours I've got it to this stage:

Just waiting for Nemesis to send me the dizzy also waiting for verniers to turn up and forge actuator.

The bottom end was completely rebuilt and i fitted a XE cam yesterday along with the head with a ZLET steel gasket.

Just need a few other bits like engine mounts and a F20 box, got pretty much everything else.

verniers arrived and fitted, cam belt on, just need someone to time it properly as thats something i really don't trust myself with as have never timed up a let before, have done the v6 which i didn't find hard but the let is a different ball game

Ok so conversion done here are some pics of before and after:

Fitted some 160MPH clocks and quite liked the orange gaiters so bought some along with other orange engine bits



Forgot to take pics of the gearbox and driveshafts being fitted and pretty much everything else so only have these left which includes the phase 1 GSi bonnet and the single wiper conversion

More to follow and the engine pic is not complete as you can see, it looks a bit of a mess, but that was 2 weeks ago, now it looks like this, but I ran out of orange silicone hose so had a yellow Roose one in the garage so fitted that for now

Bought a straight through 3" single outlet exhaust for it and a 200 cell sport cat and a flexi and cut and welded the calibra down pipe to the flexi and the cat then fitted that to the 3" exhaust i bought and fitted it all on, luckily the calibra down pipe pretty much followed the same pattern as the original 1.6 pipe so bolted straight on. Cally GSi front struts fitted with turbo discs and calipers painted orange, 30mm lowering springs all round with uprated shocks, EBC red stuff pads on the front, just need to fit the rear disc conversion on but no rush for that at the mo.
