Looks like you've done this sort of thing before - be interesting how it turns out - BTW, what rear end are you using?

Thank you. The front strut tops made of metal thickness of 4mm. I'm going to join them to the rollcage with tubes, i hope withstand the load.
Pleased that my work inspires you.
I had watched your forum, and have seen many incredible Projects that inspired me. :wink
If you believe in yourself, do not hesitate! The results will bring much joy.

By the way such changes are road legal in your country?

Yes, I have good experience in working with machines and mechanisms, it is my hobby and my job. I use the drive shaft, axle and rear axle gear from Omega B diesel.

Thank you all, I hope for your good advices.

Joining them to the cage will be perfect i think, I think the rear wheel drive will be illegal in Portugal but I'm going to make mine wider I think, If i was in the UK, RWD all the way

Did you fabricate the roll cage yourself or did you buy it? (if you bought it... where did you buy it?

dont forget also that front suspension only have steering duties now, no drive through front hubs, so less stress.

    excellent job sfj

    Nice fab work

Not tempted to push the motor back a bit? Seems there going to be a fair bit hanging well past the front wheels.

    You're right:

Hanging a little, almost in the middle.
Cannot move the engine because of steering rack.

Bottom subframe from Omega B, i will use the steering rack from Golf II with horizontal mounting. Going to weld the steering rack mount to subframe.

Can a foreigner in his car pass this tests? There is a list of requirements that must be met?
