Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

Had a few parts turn up today.

    Lower wishbone polybushes:

    BMW battery cable:

    Gold battery terminals:

    Wilwood bias valve:

Then cleaned up and sorted out the battery cable. Mock fitted terminals, just when it gets fitted I will cut it to size to suit the placement of the battery.

    Lots more to come!

Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

    Arden blue paint - check
    20XE - check
    GSi bumper - check
    Depo's - Check

All you need now are speedlines and it will be like the majority of cars on Corsa Sport

Is the engine coming out for a refresh?

    Keep the updates coming.

Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

    Speedlines there everywhere lol.

It's coming out to sort a oil leak on it. And also the engine bay is getting smoothed and wire tucked. More fresh paint and powdercoated bits, And then put the xe back in for about 4-5 months then let power it.

Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

    Thanks bud

Cheers bud, yea I know sorry man. Lol

Also forgot to add I had these turn up too, but he sent me red! I needed black lol. So there going back

And also gonna weld a new bulk head in, because as you may know you need to modify it to suit the power cap. Well them days are gonna be over!

I bought a flange so I can make up a 3" bit of pipe to come from the tb instead of the power cap. Gonna look something like the updated let ones.

Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

Just cut the whole upper fire wall out, I done it on mine and it makes the bay look a lot bigger and makes working on the engine so much easier

Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

the smaller parts go underneath the fillet bit on the side of the cross member thats closest to the engine if that makes sense, in the pics bellow you can't see the slashed ends just the square end:

    Hope that helps

Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

    Cheers guys!

I was looking at your pictures today, I couldn't work out that square bit lol. So that sort of goes into anther section, then the biggest bits is wealded in place afterwards?

Re: My Arden Project: winter rebuild!

yeah the tip of the pointy bit on the slash cut touches the very outer panel at the end of the crossmember, tack that on then the one over the tie bar mounting hole then the large fillet piece last going over the top of both

Looks good. Saw the write up in Fast Car. Thought they short changed you on the feature a bit to be honest. All adverts in that mag.

How were you finding the engine running on the Newmans? No mention of a remap so wondered what real world gains you got from them.
