    astra coupe c20let

hi guys i bought this astra coupe c20let from london on friday and cant wait to get it on the road as it does need a bit of work to the engine and bodywork.
the engine needs a turbo and timing up from what i was told the car is running m-tech phase 2 and got an xe inlet cam with vernier pulleys
this car was owned by 2 people from this site: astrasi and scott@cdg
i am now going to get the car running again and back up to show standard as the bodywork aint to bad:
the engine spec from what i can tell is : xe inlet cam vernier pulleys m-tech phase 2 software 3.5fpr big fmic from a 200sx and 3 inch piping it has a coscast head which was rebuilt and a tubular manifold with external wastegate flange.
i need to get a external wastegate and find out what turbo this car was running due to not knowing what flange is on the downpipe
heres some pics hope u like:

thanks for looking guys any advice to get this back on the road is welcome
    adam

    UPDATE!!!!

after doing some research about the coupe i found out that the coupe was fetured in total vauxhall mag in 2008 so i set about finding the mag and after a few phone calls to a few friends i found the mag heres some pics:

looking at those photos and the car as it sits now i would say the car has had a hard life since these photos was taken BUT heres some pics of what ive been upto making a 3" exhaust straight from the turbo all the way back a new tial f38 wastegate and had to turn the turbo around and mount the fan on the opposite side
heres my attempt at making my 1st ever 3" exhaust:

just waiting for my backbox to arrive so i can finish i complely

heres where i had to turn the turbo around to get the exhaust the way i wanted it:

just waiting for my wastegate to arrive and few other bits then its off to the paint shop to have a full respray in house of kolors pagan gold

heres some pics of the car as it sits at my workshop atm hopefully once the car is all back together i can get it back into total vauxhall

hope you all like i will update soon once all my other bits has arrived

cekin u got a nice example there and its got a f23 box as they mount straight in.

did u do the wiring on your coupe for the engine?

    Re: astra coupe c20let

I've done almost everything by myself -also the wiring.
It's mix of the x18xe1 and c20let wires with both ecu's plugged in.

/to use f28 box was really awsome idea- it's has shorter ratio then f23 so it accellerate faster. Also it could stand a lot of torques without smashing it /

Cekin could u do a big favour and write down what wires go to what and did you cut any of the x18 loom away?

    Re: astra coupe c20let

When I prepare to do the wiring i found some very helpful post which described this process
Standing infront of the car with the bonnet up, inbetween the fuse box and the battery is a grey connector(x22 plug) make these connections to the c20let loom.

    Grey(x22) plug description C20let loom
black 0.5mm reverse light black f28
    white/black 0.5mm reverse light white/black f28
black 2.5mm ecu 12v supply black (small single plug)
    red/blue 2.5mm fuel pump supply red/blue(fuel pumprelais

Still standing infront of the car look at the ecu on the right of the battery, two plugs go into the ecu, the plug nearest you is plug x58.Two wires are needed from this plug ,you can see the numbers on the inside of the plug find these: Brown/Blue 0.5mm(63 on the plug) and Brown/Green 0.5mm(7 on the plug).Leave these two wires connected and cut every other wire (there not needed). These two wires go to the astras original temp sensor, this sensor needs to go into the C20let thermostat (found on the front left of the engine by heatshield) but it wont fit so you have to take out the calibras temp sensor(right one on the thermostat not the blue one) and have the hole tapped to m12 x 1.5 (any engineering place will do this) then put the astras original temp sensor in.

The other plug going into the astras ecu (furthset away from you) is plug x57, three wires need to be cut from this so they dont go to the astras ecu (leave every other wire plugged in) these are green, brown/blue and brown/white. Extend these wires and connect them to the same coloured wires from the plugs next to the C20let ecu.

Then there should be one plug left its the big round orange one between fuse box and battery this plug is starting/charging wires, connect the same coloured wires from this to the c20let loom(big round plug) any wires left are not needed tape them off. Finally dont forget to put a thick earth wire from the gear box to the astras body.
    and this:
Turbo Engine Conversion for the MK2 Astra GTE 16v Written by Allen ...

    and this one:

This should be everything You need to do wiring by yourself
