bought the car last may with 50k on the clock fsh and already running about 260bhp.
here are the pics when i get it, it was a steal so had to see it to believe it

i had the car like this for about 4 weeks before i decided i didnt like the cream so got a retrimmed astra gsi interior ans sprayed my centre dash to match.

next i got a genuine gsi front bumper which i had sprayed and fitted by a mate.

a short trim to romax in stockton for the wheels to be done in gloss backand i was happy with the car

i got a bit bored of the performace so i decided to get the eds manifold and top hat fitted and made 307bhp on phase 3.5 eds and its a flying machine as you can the the inlet mani makes it pull to 7k

eds 3.5 325ps map
vxr turbo
vxr injectors
fse power boost valve
regal uprated fuel pump
eds inlet manifold and tophat
cdit airbox kit with k and n
eds boost pipe
tx coolent hose kit
tx intercooler kit
cobra 3in turbo back system with 200 cell sprts cat ( best sounding exhaust i have ever heard )
forge dump valve and recirc valve

car was mapped in jan the after humming and harring i decided to go all out on a full power rebuild to make this car a bit special, i am in the process of getting all the parts i need together before my mate rebuilds my engine to the following spec:

head:

cometic 1.3mm wrc head gasket
arp head stud kit
xev inlet cam
piper vernier pulley to time inlet cam correctly
double valve springs
platform spacers.

bottom end:

cosworth 86.5mm piston
steel h-beam rods with arps
new and uprated bearings
ballancer shafts removed
all new gaskets
new oil pump
new water pump
cambelt kit and tensioners

block rebored and honed
oil jets fitted
head getting a full strip and clean

quick pic update, new k-sport 8 pots which are awsome and irmscher steering wheel

getting bonnet vents fitted next and gsi bumper modded, im removing the numberplate recess completely to aid flow to inter cooler and rad. only downside is ill have to re-locate numberplate to side of bumper just shes kicking out some serious heat with everything being so tight in the bay and the crazy power its now running.

ill try and do some vids at the weekend

cars in garage today getting new low milage gearbox fitted with frozen gearset to make this one last, also got 14" kenlowe performance fan kit going in to keep temps down around town as im having a problem with heat management at low speed due to the tubular mani and how tight things are in the bay.

got a 13 row oil cooler kit ill be fitting on next oil change with double banjo bolts so i can run oe water cooled oil cooler and mocal together.

map is a bit to crazy for my liking and torque is way to high so im booked in rs tuning on the 2nd of november for a new custom map with lower torque so i can actually use all

i will get around to some vids once car has been mapped again

Heads off the car, gasket gone between the water jacket near piston 4, heads off to be skimmed then should be back on the road by the end of the week.

Also my mocal oil cooler getting fitted behind drivers fog, oil temp pressure gauges getting plumbed in! Full service while Jamie at evotune is at it

Bought some corsa vxr diamond cut 18s they will be on next week ;-) making progress

Also bought apexi avcr to control boost in lower gears

Ill get pics up over next week

Basically the whole gasket leaked block side, don't look light it was torqued up correctly I'm having the faces skimmed tho to make sure it's all good. We are lifting to boost as well with a map tweek once weather improves. Once I know all is sweet again we will be hunting for more power with better delivery
