Mk4 Astravan Sportive- Saab B204 conversion.

Just thought I would say Hi.

I am new to the site and have a Mk4 Sportive Astravan with a Saab 900 turbo engine fitted.

There dont seem to be many mk4-B204s around but Im sure it will increase as its quite a straight forward conversion.

Very interested in this as my brother in law has a sportive with a knackered engine and a B204 too.

Do you have a build diary somewhere?

I could start a build diary but I haven't got many pics as I kept forgetting to take them.

I have a few but I can't seem to upload them, could it be because I am a new member?

If people want the info I can write up all the parts required and a rough guide?

I found it quite hard getting information when I was planning it so I assume others are having the same problem.

richcinq.... as in bright orange wide arch cinquecento into which you put a 1242 and were putting a 1242 16v in to same as i was doing with my black sporting? or do i have a differnt guy?. lmao

Blimey!! that was a long time ago. I still have the Turbo Cinq but its been hibernating in my dads workshop for a few years so its covered in dust and stuff.

Did you get yours finished in the end?

For some reason I cant post pictures up as the 'advanced reply' page wont let me, any ideas?

hiya guys i am currently fitting the same engine into my mk4 astra sri, i am also using the f28 6 speed gearbox with a custom made gearbox mount, i am wonting ideas for a engine mount as i wnt to be different and not use the original saab mount, and also is the any wiring looms diagrams available

i have my engine sat in the bay at the moment and bolted in at the gearbox side with a jack underneath holding it up at the other side, it looks mint allready and looks like its oringinaly made for that vehicle. paul could you personal message me some pictures that you may have and also do you have any information about the wiring, if you personal message me we can tlk through that.ill be uploading some pictures by the week end as i only set my account up today

Just thought Id post some pics of the van as its been on the road for a while and I forgot to put pics up before.

Unfortunately Im having to sell it as Ive got too many vehicles which is a shame as it only needs a few bits doing to finish.

Anyway, if antone is doing this conversion and wants to know anything send me a message and I will do my best to help.
