hello mates .. decided 2 share my project with the migweb forum
started 2 do myself a mantzel copie .. posted a thread in the forum .. but things didnt go like I expected with my work on the project so I take the car 2 the LowBudget performance team ... this is what it happened
I dont have fancy aftermarket parts like SBDbecause the budget went for rebuilding the f**k'd up ecotec :/ and it was done what it could with the stock potential
specs:
.intake
-custom made intake manifold with trumpets
-x16xe lower part of the intake/runners ported 2 fit the head intake ports
-bigger throttle body from x18xe ... ~53-55 mm
-cheap cone filter .. till i can buy a panel one 2 fit the tight space
.exhaust
-custom made 4-1 manifold 45mm runners 63mm straight pipe with 1 silencer .. no cat
-thermo isolated
.headwork
-port polish .. about 10mm in diameter
-polished valves
-some headwork 2 rise the compression ratio
-the stock exhaust cam was replaced with intake one .. so now is running with 2 intake cams ..
-new head bolts
.block
-polished pistons
-new rings goetze
-all bearings changed with new ones
.ECU
-map on a aftermarket forum bought 7.3k rev limited chip
-new lambd sond
.fuel
-3.6 bar on the fuel rail
.OIL
-YACCO Galaxy 15w50
.EGR system- out!
still breaking in the engine ... dont know what kilometers i must wait for it is okay to take the car to 7.300 rpms .. I'm afraid 2 push her hard because it isnt gonna be pretty if things go wrong ... now i have 750 km on the clock .. (cylinders havent been touched)
the car gave a monster consumption of 10l / 100 km on freeway driving (maintaining about 3000rpm) and 15l/100km city driving .. max 4000 rpm so i switched of the lambd senzor and leaved the car runing on the MAP schemes ... consumpion did go down .. but not enought ... :S around 10l/100km city driving ..
the car pulls quite well .. little mood on the low revs .. but after 4500rpm the things changes ..
still 2 go: lightweight flywheel ..

dont worry about numbers,if it satisfies u more than it used to,then u're ok,the thing is that u get used of horsepower quick 





cuz tunning never sleepZ .. i hope soon everything to be in order and get a dyno results
