intercooler done, brakes done, better quality video
Awesome work on choosing to use the saab instrument cluster (that's what I was going to be doing) I'm glad to see you choose to do the same thing ! I've been planning and on this swap as the saab Turbo is freely available here in the US as where the c20let doesn't exist over here.
Do you have any pictures showing the modification you made to the frame for the aux belt side motor mount ? And also for the rear transmission mount? Or if you just used a vaux box and existing mount.
I was planning on using the saab box, and just using the existing trans mounting as is seems to be the same.
That sounds nuts, well done!
c20xe Astra mk3 Sport
i used saab gearbox. Had to create the mounts.
if i remember correct this is belt side mount
and this is gearbox mount

Love it, well done mate..
Great to see. Thank you. Glad you stuck with it and saw it thru to the running stage. How does it drive? Does it feel good, the saab motor is a bit heavier - hope it doesn't affect the handling to badly. Preferably not at all
Keep the pictures and videos coming!
actually I can't say how good or bad it handles, cos it run like 30 meters so far.. I didn't have much time to work at it lately. So all I done - took it to the winter residence, lol
I will finish wiring there.

Well done. I wonder if Renault ever realised what they had created when they added that small piece of rubber to the bottom of their laguna / espace bumpers?
yeah, I've seen their front lips on many non renault cars - golf, civic, astraGlad they made it from rubber - easy to work with it and hard to break

those leathers look good mate , great work on the car![]()
no smoke no poke ! if in doubt screw it out ;)
damn.. I was preparing it for a dyno run and wanted to connect a rear number plate light from a rear left parking light and I shortened "+" to the chassis (at least I believe that happened - all parking lights are working except that one rear left). And now it is dead.
When I turn the ignition on the fuel pump don't make a sound, starter don't work, and the arrows on the speedo are moving by their own wishes, relays under the feet are clicking, under the hood also clicking, apc clicking. I have now plugged off front lights, because if they are on and any of them is plugged in - some relay starts clicking as crazy. I tried to change the ECU - no difference. That must be something else but I hardly imagine what. There is still full saab harness in, no mods where I could have made mistakes connecting. All fuses are ok.
So, any ideas what to check and what to try to replace?
