nova gsi turbo build

ok this is a white nova gsi i bought last year some of you may know the car already there is quite alot done already but will update over the coming week till im at the stage im at now with it

first a couple i have of the car before i got it
standard

before first build

after full rebuild to a 1.6 turbo


then i bought the shell like this





plans were

full rebuild
respray
c20let&f28
interior (something different)
compomotive mo5's 16"
and basicly go from there

first buys were





















first plans were to sand down engine bay cut out the altenator clearance area and plate it and fit engine so could line up the f28 engine mount.

looks like a good start, any rust on the shell?, whats the plans with the engine? standard power?

the shell is pretty mint tbh there was two little bits on the splash guards about 2 pence each but cut them out and welded them up
as for engine
kkk with hybrid internals
vxr injectors
ported polished and gasflowed
remap
fmic
z20let oil pump with conversion pickup pipe
and a diff in the box

thats it engine wise for the now

what power do you expect to see mate?

not honestly sure mate wouldnt mind 280-300 but if not will do abit more to it but dont want to go above 300 as not wanting to rip the poor nova to bits.lol
forgot to say have a jp performance 2.5" exhaust system+using arp's and uprated shells and bearings

i them got the car on all four axil stands to paint the inner wings and removed running gear

before i could paint the floor the body shop phoned saying they were ready for it so got it back on a set of wheels and ready for the journey





also had to remove the engine&box



whilst taking engin out took picture of backend with no springs.lol



and off it went leaving me just to collect more parts

also got these for spares cause were going cheap never used

well after waiting couple months on the car at body shop decided to have it done astra olympic white (vxr white)
heres it the day got it home nice and shiney:-) looks awfull this high but that soon changes

cheers bud well when i got it chunks of paint were comeing away from the engine bay they must not have used proper primer or something? so there was alot of prep in that also had to fill the old boost pipe hole in. but still got alot to do in there gotta give the sound proofing a really good clean and paint rack etc will get there tho. wanting it at pvs this year you in mig stand again?

yeah was a nice motor before hope to make it better this time tho but we'll see
not sure about the vinyl gonna run without it to start with and if change my mind could always put it on later.

there actually quite a good fit mate more room than cavy and calibra leather just abit harder to mount.lol
yeah its in the shed so you can have a looky when down hope you like

also got the floor painted made new fuel lines and brake lines and fitted bumper tape
