Brown 4 door chevette twin turbo sleeper!!!

Heres my lovely 4 door chevette, its been featured in retro car before as a budget buy and bulid by one of the magazine writters. It went up fo sale and one my good friend bought it, he lost sort of interest in the car and wanted to move on to something german. So i was lucky to buy it off him. Ive got big plans for this car this year such as getting a powerful 2.3 turbo, iwas going to do a 3.9 rover v8 twin turbo but took a wise decsion to work my way up to it as it will be a hand full so a sensable bit a of 4 cyclinder turbo power will do me for the moment!!!















just finishing my nova this month and hit the chevette hard so i can have some summer fun!!!

hi mate, good looking car that, seem the chevette is making a come back lol.dont meen to piss on your fire but rover v8, such an old engine now crap on fuel, power,reliability, only v8 anyone will need is a ls1, 2.0 16v will always out power a rover v8 on everything, looking forward to seeing the build on this one.

looks nice and straight wish i hadnt sold mine now, you not been tempted with a lexus v8 as they rev well and are nice and cheap

nothing wrong with a rover engine its not an expensive bulid im on a budget, there is advantage's over a a 2.0 16v that i have alot more torque and power, much better gearing and easy driving. Don't get me wrong i love the redtop but you can't beat the low down punch from any v8 and there is no replacment for displacment!!!

the axle is a scimtar 4ha with jag mk2 l.s.d, the supsension gaz rear coilovers, front spax seperate shock and springs, brakes prob have to be 4 pot wilwoods and most of the other bits from ebay

the 4ha is a great axle, u can fit the jag powerlok diff as u already no, escort mk2 4 link kit from rally design. will take well over 500bhp

i am currently getting all my parts together to build my chevette, already got the 4ha axle, b204 saab lump, jag diff, omega box, chevette etc.........
just need pedal box and other bits.........

a v8 would be scary lol

im not going to do the rover v8 twin turbo just yet going to get use to some turbo 4 inline power first, the 2.3 is a frontera engine 2.2 bored out and c20let head and dropped compression c20let pistons etc

that should be a Ford 4 bolt wheel PCD - you can buy alloy front hubs with the matching Ford stud pattern - be a good idea to have matching all round, IMO.

One of the chaps down here has 1UZ on carbs (which surprised me considering the variety of throttle body setups available) in his Chevette track car.

yeah hes the knob that crashed it selling it on retro ride he had 3 weeks then ****ed it. Its a shame it was a tidy motor. Got bored of it silly 1.3 that prob had 30hp because it was sooooo slowww
