    meriva c20let

    hello migweb people!
i'm bad in english, so description will be shot . i'll glad to answer for any questions from you about my "fast project".
i was build another car- my corsa a (nova in uk), but problems with engine in my meriva was change my plans and c20let which was for corsa went to meriva. for that moment i already had a lot of parts for installing an engine. meriva is my "everyday" car, like working horse (i don't know how it's in english), so i made swap as fast as i can. i need in wheels .

some pics from swap progress (all mods took about 1 week).
sorry for pics quality, most of them i was made on my nokia.

    some specs

    c20let
86.5 woessner pistons, arp bolts on stock rods
    coscast head, xe inlet cam.
    2.5" intake with evo8 intercooler.
custom 3" stainless exhaust from turbine.
    eds phase 2 chips.

gearbox f18 cr with 3.42 maindrive from f20 + custom made lsd.

kw variant 1 + modified polyrace bushes (from cali) in front arms.

R17 aviatech forged wheels. it's russian brand, which made forged wheels for motorsport. high quality, very strong and light. 1 wheel weight about 7.2 kg.
    tyres- 205/40 eagle f1

brakes now stock one . i'm waiting for custom bells for installing 330x28 4pot brakes from porsche .

    Re: meriva c20let

some onboard video (bumper cam). i drove yesterday.

speedo didn't work, so i calculated speed with calculator . my theoretical top speed about 262kmh (163mph) on 7350rpm (rev limit).
few days ago i was driving at night and easily made 7200rpm - 255 kmh (159mph).

i would like to go to rolling road this week .

    Benn
all 3 mounts are custom made, with bushes from rear corsa axle. all intake pipes goes from my nova without any mods. i only moved radiator closer to the engine, so i got a lot of free space for evo cooler.
and my brother helped me with accelerator pedal - he spent all day for made custom pedal and installing it on car )).
i connected only few wires, for engine work. dash don't work now . that's main problem- i need some help for wiring stock meriva dash and old c20let. last way - change dash to old one or custom but i'll try to connect meriva one. also eps don't start. i think this is same problem as dash. eps ecu didn't know that i already start an engine .

i was made some roll on starts at evening with vectra opc (chip) and astra opc (cheap and exhaust, about 270hp). 60-240kmh. little bit faster than astra and faster then vectra (few bodies forward).

now i need in f28 , one f18 i already had broken (3 gear). it was broken on 1.5 bar overboost (about 3 weeks driving). now i drive on boost 0.8-0.9 and overboost about 1.2.

    specks
mental, nice project and you aren`t shy of going fast on public roads are you.
all right mate we have no cams on roads. we have working cams only in moscow and there are not too much. official penalties for +40kmh about 30 pounds, for +60 about 50 pounds . and our police so like bribes ))
with driving like on video, i spent about 100 pounds for year. we need in good control on roads .

yes, we live in stone age if compared russia with european countries ))

    what astra did you race?
astra opc, vxr in uk. 240hp in stock. that car had eds chip and exhaust (downpipe?). astra with same mods show 270hp on dyno.
Are C20LET's and parts hard to get over there?
not too hard, but much expensive, so some small parts i usually buy here, on migweb .

i had win 2 starts, than temperature grew up from 82 up to 95 and car goes much worse(worse than astra) . i have cooler thermostat now (82c), and that's not correct, but car goes well. so if i change it for 92c, it will go slower.
i have saab injectors with 3.0bar now. may be i need some more fuel? i'll try to make 3.5 bar.

is different (in ecu program) between 82c and 92c so much in fuel? can i correct it if i make 3.5 bar on fuel regulator?

i need to go to dyno and check engine power with boost and a/r graph

    thanks mate .

need to repair some exterior parts. new right mirror cover already recieved.
bonnet need in painting- it's in black primer now, without paint .
i would cover bonnet and mirrors in 3d carbon(3m brand) vinyl because it will be much cheaper for me good paint much expensive here- painting 1 part, bonnet for example, cost more than 100 pounds. quality... one time it may be very good and next time... awful
i know, better if it will be looking like stock, slipper , but i don't want to pay money and get my bonnet with some dusty points or another shade.

most of our painters with hands from ass and so hard to find with straight hands

    usual paint or carbon vinyl?

    Re: meriva c20let

no mods and repairing, but some new videos

focus rs, chip and exhaust, owner said about 350hp

interesting, that we made second roll-on after that, and go up to 240kmh, and i was faster when i shift on fifth gear (after 200kmh)...

    onboard from cali turbo

    calibra c20let, eds phase3.5
    boost 1.2
he had xe camshaft, 2 inch pipe from turbine to cooler, cooler little bit smaller then mine (evo8), and 2.5" piping to throttle body.
    exhaust like stock i think.

weight of cars +- same, but he has +100kg (passanger), and he had power loss on 4x4 transmission.
but different in results... we think that much different cause i had much better exhaust.

Why do you have the hazard lights on while racing?

because we racing on legal roads and before start we slow down speed from middle traffic speed(about 120kmh at night) to 60kmh and then sometimes forget turn it off and sometimes i don't turn it off deliberately.
hazard lights can add some safety - most of drivers on roads don't look in rear view mirrors and can make some unneeded movement, because we can appear unexpectedly for them. hazard lights can involve some attention.

and all of that races much dangerous... we have no racing tracks and slipstrips where we can go every weekend and racing safely...

we have 1 race track near moscow, in track day 1 session on own car (about 20 minutes) can cost 100 pounds... it's too expensive .

i wasn't on dyno . my gearbox lost fifth gear 3 weeks ago, and today i had broken third gear again . that is already second f18 gearbox.

next few days i will installing temporary f28(with bad second gear synchro ring) and waiting "mint condition" f28 from UK.
thanks to eccles for the box and nemesis for helping with shipping
dyno will be after f28, 100%

also after gearbox change, i'll try boost up to 1.0 on evo310 chips.
