Not over tightening them, but cocking the socket over when installing them - especially if there's a liner to hold them by the insulation and no flex/universal used.
tar dale , also bought another corsa turbo
plan was to tax it for 6 months then brake it but going to end up braking it this weekend as its a piece of crap

went for a drive to warington last night (about 30 miles away ) just as i pulled of the motorway the car got a missfire and was running on 3 , pulled over at the races and took plug cover of , and had a hole in the side of my plug lead so it was arcking out against the cam cover, luckly some one had a spare one so stuck that on and it sorted it, any one know if you get any warrrenty on the magnacore leads,
hole in the side
, when at pod the car didnt feel as fash as it was so took it back to the dyno tonight to have a play , last time boost was set at 28psi with overboost cut at 31 psi , did a run and it was boosting at 30psi for some strange reason, so when at pod on all the runs i was running at gate pressure at 0.7 bar, did quite well then there lol, ended up changing the overboost to slightly higher and chris the mapper added in a deg of timing , then did a few power runs , im sooooooo made up with the results
chosen drink for the evening
first run
getting there

Get some on it.
They are by far the best modification I have ever done to any car, plus they sound awesome when slowing down.![]()
It's absolute night and day compared to a normal fast road tyre and don't believe everything you read about them being dangerous in the wet, they aren't. Infact, I would go as far as to say that they are better in the wet than a normal brand road tyre in the dry.
They are useless in snow though but I doubt you will be driving a 600 BHP FWD in the snow!
P.S. You need to update your profile as it suggests you only drive a mere 570.6 BHP car!![]()
yes wayne there prob the next thing im going to be buying its just a bit confusing on what size im going to need , but 100%going to get some

Ah, you are going full slick then? I find the sizes on those a bit indecipherable but the road legal cut slicks like Toyo R888 or Yokohama A048 (found the latter to wear a lot quicker) are like normal tyre sizes.
P.S. I had to update my last post after I submitted it as I put 'near 600 BHP' and read the post above after I had submitted it.![]()
600 BHP Corsa. That's Veryon killing stuff in a shopping car. Love it!
Could you imagine how f***ed off you would be if you spent a million on a Veyron and got wasted by a girls car? No insult meant chief, I know it sounds odd but it's a compliment to how insanely batshit mental that is!
haha , yes going the full size slicks ,

When you back at the pod Ron? With the slicks fitted will you be seeing 10 sec 1/4's?
Save the trees, wipe your ass with a owl!
Yes mapper said slicks will take me in to the 10s , was hoping to get there on Friday but it doesent look like so as got a busy week but hopefully in the next few weeks

I remember my first 1/4 mile drag.
You must have been buzzing before to after your first in this car
For slick sizes get 24.5/8/15

I dare any of you to tell me you wouldn't let this upstanding young citizen slob on your knob like corn on the cob.
Most slicks will have the overall diameter (important so the gearing isn't altered with different widths or diameter wheels), width and rim diameter.
Pressures can vary with the rim width that's used, but for RWD cars it's suggested that one do a wheelspin and vary the pressure until the mark left on the road is even in colour over the width of the tyre. This is a good indication that the tyre is evenly loaded over the full width of the tyre.
