Cool z18xe-t Corsa C in the making.. BNB ;)

Recently signed up, finally lol been stuck on one forum for far too long! Names Jay.. have owned the ultra blue c for a couple of years now, all started off with my 1.0 corsa B that i traded in

was my first car, served me well for a year. only sprayed he arches black, put some sxi alloys on and left it at that

off to VX to trade it in and search for a corsa c that i liked

1.2 sxi capitol edition, came with a few Irmscher goodies. my first mod was the Irmy grille, then some Heko wind deflectors, followed by a de badge and shortly after, de rubstripped!

also bought an Irmscher lower splitter and eyebrows in ultra blue, but unfortunately lost my job shortly after, so sold these on

the c as it stood at that time..

didnt really like how she looked, so decided to basically turn it into an SRi, with the immediate purchase of some fcuked SRi alloys - refurbed them myself in gloss white

    40mm Apex springs

Sri's on and off to a trip down to Elite Direct for some Toyo rubber

Gloss white center consol to match

Aswell as the Kenwood bluetooth HU and blue led's

aswell as a read OMP strut brace - second hand and fadded into a lovely pink.. i stripped it down and preped it to continue my white/blue theme

    refurbed the lenso's

    how she was now looking

    8k HID's

    more to follow..

Re: z18xe-t Corsa C in the making.. BNB ;)

    Sri mirrors purchased

i fancied colour coding the bump strips so took them out, preped and sprayed them up

flat wiper blades and mirrors went on.. how she was looking for a while

wanted to start making the c different to others, so started with the Interior

    orange camo.. :\

    Irmy mats, white gaitors..

i liked the camo at first, but after about a week i thought twice about it lol

i arranged a meet down Waterloo's graffitti tunnel for some tidy pics

and at another local meet.. got my ramps out and fitted an exhaust system in the middle of a multi story car park for a mate lol

and fitted a laguna splitter to mine

    sold the lenso's

sprayed up another consol for someone

    then ze fun stuff..

    smoothed german Opel front bumper

    smoothed rear!

FK highsport coilovers and some negative camber.. late regretted buying the FK's second hand

VXR carriers and callipers with 280mm discs fitted

refurbed some exclusive alloys for another lad off

    lush in the sunlight!

    then onto the 1.8 woop!

    cams picked up

knew the engine i was picking up had no cams, hence why i bought them!

engine picked up and put into the back of my work van

    engine cover like so..

so instead of working, out came the wet and dry  preped it up, needed filling in some areas!! smoothed down, and primed up

next day was flatting the primer, degreased and sprayed up

then ermm.. well i'll start off with what we started off with to find

needed both matrix coolant pipes, headertank coolant pipe, a few other hoses... then found that the rocket gasketwas split the tb gasket wasnt even there..

to go along with the non A/C belt
    rad
    pipes for the rad
    fuel hose connector
    servo connector
    breather pipes

and more to follow later on lol :|

    1.2 on the ramps

one 1.2 lump.. which has now been fitted and the lad was very happy with it

more problems with the 1.8 lol

    fcuked cam pulley

broken rocker cover gasket.. next to the new cambelt kit and seals

    1.8 going in

    cams going in

usually the interior loom has to be changed when converting the 1.2 to the 1.8.. mine was re pinned and re wired

only fault codes reading were air con, as had taken the pump and rad off, along with hoses and replaced the belt for a shorter one

after having everything in place, it was ready for a test drive.. i took it for a quick spin.. after having the Mtech shortshifter fitted lol to go with the lightened flywheel EML came on.. o2 sensors are shagged, and it was leaking coolant

left it outside mine for a few days, was still drivable!

was in need of a replacment inlet gasket, which was annoying as we could have replaced it if we knew it was shagged before putting in the engine lol

front FK's had also leaked, suspension was extremely bouncy

    lol @ o2 sensors..

had a mate lend me his sri front shocks with 40mm springs, so put them on for the time being.

another meet i arranged down the graffitti tunnel, good turn out

decided to do the alloys in anthracite

something totalyl random and a bit different..

was pretty cheap so if i change my mind soon.. i wont be too bothered lol

    USC last weekend was nuts

strippers, alcohol, camping, lush cars and spent too much money lol ftw

    on the dyno..

not too bad.. has a map to suit 170bhp, but i obviously dont have all the mods to go with it! standards 125, i just have a 1.9 air intake, panel filter and straight through system with the irmy backbox

three ultra blues next to each other before i drove around santa pod lol

bought some white pressed plates up there, looks good imo

had the inlet gasket replaced last night, checked a few other things..

its burning through oil much more than i would like it to be.. we have replaced the oil for a thicker fully snthetic oil, fingers crossed it runs well with it and no more burning!

if not, i have already arranged to have the engine taken out so we can re build it. fingers crossed though.. as i would like the turbo kit sooooon lolftw

    on a sadder note

went to Southend last night, no problems there or on the way back, just when i was about 5 minutes from home.. she died on me

no power what so ever, totally died on me while i was driving! had to push it through a tunnel, up a hill and into a secure car park where it stayed over night. heading over there soon to have a look at a few things - battery, alternator, sensors.. i hope its not any wiring issues!

just got two new(ish) lol o2 sensors off a lad, mine probably would be ok but look so tacky! too much electrical tape all over them and 1 is causing a fault code to come up, so i would prefer to just replace both sensors

turbo could be going ahead pretty soon if this doesnt need a re build!

    FK highsprts for £370 delivered
FK AK ones just seem too cheap..
Spax RSX.. but the rear is no where near low enough for my liking lol and cost around £500 iirc
shell out on some GAZ coilovers for arounf £600 :/

also on the look out for some headlights or new motors for my facelifts.

i like to get about warren

car died on me last night lol much luck over here?? started up, but no response from the throttle and extremely loud revving/idling!

had a look this morning, took the coilpack off, throttle body off - the wiring had been extended by the previous owner, so myself or someone else will more than likely taking it out and soldering the wires and re taping it up!
