    recently done these for another lad.. corsa d alloys, sparkling graphite

    which made way for my BBS allyos to have some work done! at last..

    e-tech primer on the rim as i went down to bare metal;

    then thought i'd go subtle and smart with them..

    clear coat, left to dry then center caps;

    aiming to have them finished for the BHP show at Lydden Hill, which is on the 2nd on May, will be on stand and hopefully getting some track time

    been a while since iv come in here!

    few pics

    had her on the dyno again today - very humid and warm, managed a 230bhp at 10psi, which im pleased with, i'v had the car holding psi at about 12 on the roads though in cooler conditions, overall im happy though!

    was tempted to take the front number plate off again for some pics but i get so much haassel due to it, so they stay on untill shows

    the z18xe rebuild and conversion was about £1k all in all
    sold my old 1.2 engine and gearbox for £300, ecu set up for £100

    turbo conversion was £2k

    but then theres uprated bits like the brakes, suspension, rarb etc etc that are required for the setup..

    Re: z18xe-t Corsa C in the making.. BNB ;)

    Right! where to start?

    The box! ;

    Initial plan was to wack a quaiffe ATB up there and be happy with it! but no - the biting point was far too low on the clutch, all that torque wasnt doing it any favours! So, bearing in mind the amount of torque and future plans/inteded use, i ordered a Helix stage 3 paddle clutch, along with an ultra lightened Billet flywheel!

    subframe & box removal ;

    Whilst under there i asked warren if he would mind sorting out my boost pipes, as there were far too many unnecessary 'step ups' and bends to and from the intercooler/turbo

    (lightened GM flywheel approx 5.5kgs and standard clutch above)

    And the last time i was under the car i noticed a heap load of rust on the filter, lol

    old pipework;

    new pipework, same size to tb

    more unneeded pipework from the turbo ;

    new pipework started / new filter

    testing a bailey dv26 out at the moment. not ideal position so will require pipework to point away from the road, or blanking off till then

    clutch flywheel on

    the billet one only weighs about 3.5kgs!

    now to sort out running issues;

    will be sorting this out over the next few months as i go away again in a few weeks, unfortunately my pockets arent that deep

    digital boost controller.. and remapping. the LSD will have to wait for now!

    plan is to do everything over the winter, ready for next years shows and events, along with some cheeky track time

    Recirc dump valve will be test fitted this week at some point, hopefully will run much nicer!

    Also took off a rear hub at a scrappy as one of my threads is naff, will be doing that at the same time. Dont really fancy driving it around winter, its dangerous enough in the rain :\

    Recirc valve + pipework

    trip to Longlife / Powerspeed today for a de-cat pipe

    sports-cat out.. was pretty munched up tbh at one end.. restricting power

    Cant beleive the difference it's made! Holds FULL BOOST pulls like an absolute train now! With the recirc valve too it sounds awesome, few pops as expected from a de-cat, love it..

    He also made up a pipe for a normal cat for when it comes to MOT time for no extra cost, with the correct flanges + gaskets

    Should be a solid 240-250bhp now, getting her on the rollers in a few weeks with corsasport in Erith, it's never felt so quick

    Just need to sort out a cv joint or driveshaft as there is mega judder when I brake, so driving pretty slow until that's sorted this week

    Rolled 238bhp when it was last rolled!

    Uprated high pressure fuel pump

    Rear disc beam + rarb

    old beam out

    Powerflex bushes all round

    manky brake dust everywhere

    brushed down, i'll paint them when i next get a chance

    can feel a bit of difference! just much more reassuring knowing i have all of my bolts holding my wheels on now :lol:

    also picked up Hel braided liens for the fronts, will fit them when i get a chance till the new brakes go on

    Also dropped off my 2 BBS wheels to Rimtec this morning for a 'furb!

    Lots of updates!! few big ones..

    Will try to keep in order.. starting off with the BBS RX split rims..

    Wrapped in Conti sports, had the front two sprayed up at Rimtec

    Attempted to save the Dbials snail.. was smoking too much for my liking..

    Mahle bearings

    ARP rod bolts

    Wasnt very happy with the little rebuild.. so new turbo plans

    little polish and wax before TFS, bit of nommy beading

    clean engine bay

    At TFS.. managed a 14.7..

    nosey peeps!

    showing the jap lads how it's done!

    oo...

    FINALLY.. Quaife ATB!

    Makes a huge difference getting the power down, wish i had done it ages ago!

    new Stack boost gauge.. MFD gauge holder to replace the pillar pods

    re done the pillar in suede

    picked up a custom show cage.. sprayed it in the back of my van FTW lol

    Recaro speeds, comfy as feck!

    cage fitted with the seats

    pink blanket anyone?! lol

    then..

    gt2860..

    TXA ali rad arrived the other day, along with the slimline fan, just getting the downpipe sourced tomorrow and it's all good to start fitting it together! hoping it wont be laggy with the 60 housing.. 71 would have been mega laggy!

    2860 is a great turbo for ur cc's and since you are on stock CR,it wont be laggy at all! had on my 1.6
    and then fitted it on the stroked 1.8 and was pulliung like a train.

    Read on the thread that even forged pistons are not lower on CR,when i sended one z18 piston to US
    so they can custom made a set,they took it down to 9:5:1 and then u can get the boost higher,
    and you dont have to go with forged rods to do that,just use a set of a gm engine
