originally was all made by blueflame. due to changing turbos etc, the downpipe was made by a mate of mine. rest is still the blueflame it had made in 2006.

Love this car, especially the fact your not scared to try genuine "fake" parts from ebay lmao And with surprising results! Its quite nice to see project threads with set-backs, makes us all feel that bit better lol.
Then there's the engine.. Always well impressed seeing it go down the 1/4 mile!!

set backs are all part of any project i reckon. ive had a few good ones over the years. liner dropped down from a cylinder, powder coating incident, valve guide cracking and mashing a head and piston etc.
my latest issues are with gearlinkage and 2nd gear. as it just sometimes wont go in and is becoming annoyingdrive it normally, 2nd is fine.
i had this exact problem with 3rd!!!(F28) drive it normal and it was fine....bring it on boost and it would not budge!
the box is now funked on my garage floor haha!

today was local 1/4mile day at kirkbride air field. i woke up after 3 hours sleep, seen the rain, went back to sleep and eventually arrived after lunchtime. some pics.
the van got 16 something. with bigger wheels on back the ratio has changed so is now into 4th so its actually a touch slower.
corsa c with astra vxr engine on dta mapped by the good man himself. got a 13.2 last i heard. also beat the aston twice.
free car, 1800 lotus elise engine. ran low 14's, pure abuse and general comedy. had many battles with a civic all day, very close races. one of my favourite random cars there.
small boy adam got a 15.9 in the cougar.
thats the green civic the rover battled with towards the end. abuse all day. great car that civic.
10 seconds dead. mental.

broke the thing today. knew it was going to happen could sense it with the 2nd gear issues etc. clutch gave up. was fair wet and damp. did a really not so impressive 12.9 with a 60ft time of 2.69. damp. had to set off in 2nd. then it gave up. later on started it up in gear and took it away. will try another £2 fix on the pressure plate as there is another one sat there. normally shears the rivets. hoping its just the same.
in other news, a mate had his vx220 there that he fitted a turbo kit to the 2.2 engine. it got a 13.1 early on before it chucked it down. was still doing mid to high 13's in the wet. very impressive car indeed.

no mate, just the clutch. box is alright. its done it before i think i put a pic up on 1st page. only issues ive had with box are cracking the casing when it was just a 2 bolt mount. gears etc themselves are fine.
