I fixed the bonnet prop yesterday,
8 inches
out comes the grinder
gave them a root gap
and set them up straight
glued them together
5 inches
its now slightly too lowlmao but its still a lot better
just need to paint it when i can be bothered

damm that is short lmao

lmao it barely works as a prop, its nearly horizontal and if you lift the bonnet up it doesnt even hook on to itlmao hope its not windy

lmao
what day you going to billing?
My Corsa X20XEV Project http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/proje...t-project.html
friday efternoon, and leaving late sunday![]()

well the bonnet prop was a total waste of time lmao i didnt even open my bonnet at billing
but nevermind, as i bought a set of coilovers from billing, so set about fitting them today
they are replacing lowering springs and standard dampers, which bounce and bottom out so hoping for some improvement
rears in
fronts in (i love not having to use spring compressors)
but then
the lock nut just rubs on the sidewall
i reckon a 3mm wheel spacer will sort it out, but i have no money at all, so that can wait,
so for now had to raise it 40mm from the bottom
sits like this
about the same height as before at the front, and a little bit lower at the back.
but it has transformed the handling, its now noticeably firmer (how i like it) but also copes with rough roads much better as it doesnt bottom out any more, it also corners totally flat with fcuk all body roll, and it doesnt skip sideways when you push it anymore. WIN!
that is all![]()

just take off the helper spring, you'll have bags of room then.
I saw your car but didn't see you for these camber bolts.
yeah sorry about that, i didn't see your FS thread sayin you would bring them till late friday, so assumed i'd left it too late![]()
is the helper spring not needed then? i'll whip it out when i can be bothered
[SIGNATURE] [/SIGNATURE]
it's just a helper spring, loads of people ditch them, it helps stop the spring unseating so don't get jumping the car and you should be fine.
As said bin the helper spring. I'd get the threads on the coilover body greased or copper slipped up. Inc under the adjusters.
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
was that one of those coilover sets that were on a stall not that far from where mig was, if so i was looking at them, saw them at pvs aswell but wasnt sure on the quality of them
My Corsa X20XEV Project http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/proje...t-project.html
right, i'll get that off then, the spring should stay seated, as i'm not gonna have it loose when the cars jacked up,it will still have some preload on it
they are covered in glear spray grease atm, might put some copper grease on though so it lasts better
yeah i think they were from the LMF stand. quality isnt too bad, about what you would expect for that price i suppose, few things that i dont like, such as with the bracket that fits round the hub, the corners are square, so they get in the way and stop it fitting round the hub properlybut 2 seconds with the angle grinder will sort that out. also the top hole is slotted to allow for ghetto camber adjustment
lmao
