Quickest/cheapest/easiest way to get my Nova back on the road!!!!

    Hi folks!

Not lurked on here for ages! So hello to all the new folks and hi to any old hands who may know me!

    Anyway, have a dilemma!

I currently have my old 88 former XE'd saloon down the side of the house complete bar engine, loom, clutch and inj pump and have the ultimatum of doing something with it by April 30th!!!!

I would scrap it except for the following points.............

    T'was my 1st car

Still has the private plate of siw8158 worth maybe £400 retail so about, maybe £250 if i sold it.

The cars ORIGINAL reg is F55 AEA worth around £599 (Estimated off of quote F15 AEA) retail on DVLA's site!!!!!

So that'd be at least £500 on a bad day of reg plate's i'd be throwing away!!!!

So basically, I need to get it back OTR on a shoestring.......................

Welding ain't a prob as it used to be my trade, I've owned the car since '96 bar 12 months so I know the car inside out, I can fix most things but I need the MOT and a lump.

I appreciate, it'll never be concourse, but need the cheapest way over getting it sorted!

Do I go down the 1.6/1.8/2.0 8V route or is there a better and still cheap option??????

I really need to get it running, MOT'd and flog of the plates to finance a restoration!

    Any help/ideas/donations appreciated!!!!

    Cheers

    Si
