Heres my corsa b got it home yesterday and started straight away got the passenger seat out and the rear seats going for the stripped out big engined beast ha!
Cheers, what is the easier way? lol, bit late now but you never know might do another one, one day.. Went out and took a picture in the light just for you guys .
Next is to get it all plugged in and fueled up and we'll get her started, then we'll sort out the lovely flaking red paint .
Put gearbox onto the engine first, and then get a hoist and lower it into the car. Just makes life easier haa. Looks very good in the corsa bay, cant wait to get mine fitted now. I was going to mention about the red flaking paint. What colour you thinking of spraying it mate.
Well we went outside this afternoon to have a tinker, we got the loom through to the inside the car, mounted the coil and started to mount the radiator.
Where the air filter (it's a cone filter) connects theres a bit box that a plug goes on with a flap in it, is that the air flow meter? And do we need it because we can't get it to fit lol.
Heres a quick pic of the front,
Feel free to post a pic of how you've done your air filters, any help will be cool, thanks.
Yehh thats the AFM mate, and you will need it, unsure if theres a way around it, if there is someone will let you know. Do uprated pumps whistle, ive never heared one tbh, i thought it just primed and that was it haa.
We've ran the fuel lines got the throttle cable, clutch cable connected. But now the fuel lines are too long and they're hanging on the floor under the car, is there a way to shorten them?
They look/feel like there made out of plastic with about 10cms of rubber pipe on the end that connects to the engine.... But we cant take anything off that end as it kinks the blue pipe needs to be off the other petrol tank end
Deciced to have a tinker with the car this morning, we cut the panel bit out of the door and boot, we'll do the bonnet and the other door tomorrow, I did take some pictures but ofcourse my phone won't work with my pc.... Tomorrow we'll hopefully finish the door/bonnet weight reduction, maybe clean the cam cover ready for some paint, figure out where the rest of the wiring loom goes lmao.
We did the other door, got all the red paint off the dash, got the cam cover off, but know we've lost the little paint removing attachment for the drill thing, the garage door is broken so we cant really do that much
The mount was £38 off ebay, it was LMF vauxhall shop on ebay, it's the same as a c20xe mount, and you just need to put 12mm spacers on the gearbox rear mount, ain't brought the hubs yet,
You got a link to there shop mate ??
Im lazy you see and dont wanna end up buying the wrong thing :S
Cheers for the info on the mouting mate
Im looking for the hubs atm so I will let you know prices etc
What phase mounts is your car on mate. Im unsure what engine mount i need you see for my engine. Im on phase 1, and have heared that the mount from the engine will bolt straight to it. Unsure if thats true though.
Any more pictures mate.
That mount that i linked before is the mount we used and it fits perfectly, ours has no powersteering or a/c, think the ones with powersteering are different not sure though, i'll put some pictures up as soon as i get my phone to work with my pc
