Yeah they do like a drink use mine daily covering about 200 miles a week, i love it. Taken it around castle combe twice now which was ace fun. Think the gearbox is on its way out now thou but if its the vans original its done about 185000. Had it on the rollers again the other week and getting 234bhp on the stage 1 map, got and irritating boost issue at the mo thou. Have you a boost gauge and what exhaust are you using? is you boost holding solid? Did you/nige change gear ratios on the ecu?

mines running fine. only done a few miles in it now have you got wiring trouble? your relays going mad?
using saab front pipe rest of system is astra vxr. you have changed complete exhaust on your van?
recently broke another 900 turbo so got standard ecu for weekday driving!

The wiring im sures right and i've no clicky relays so all seems good there, im thinkin restrictive exhaust as i modded front pipe to clear front gearbox mount then it goes to 2.0dti centre exhaust selencer then to an irmscher back box either that or some thing to do with forge actuator. did you manage to get saab down pipe on with standard front gearbox mount then? 1.7 or the one for f23?

I've been collecting a few saab spares too, i think i've atleast 2 spares of every part which makes easyer work of fault finding and keeping it on the road for work. That is except finding this fault sadly ,leads me to think actuator or exhaust as i've not changed either of these yet in the quest to find it

    Re: astra mk4 van refurbishment!

hi mate you have done well with that van, im just starting to gather some info on this as its got to be more satisfying than the v6.
can you tell me what parts you used from the saab. im thinking that its best just to buy a full donor what did you youse eg 900, 9000, or 9-3, 9-5.
v6 straight 6 as long as its got 6
