Yeah not worth taxing and insuring it for only a handful of usages, will just buy a trailor for it.

I've got a 10 point OMP cage that I bought about 8 months ago to go in

    Re: dewismotorsport's C20LET Corsa gsi

Well finished all inlets and manifolds so turned my attention back to the car agian, I've been stock piling parts ready for the winter update

EPAS steering rack and DS2500 rear pads

Enlarged Cav V6 throttle bodie (64-70mm)

I'm swapping the above as the 3.5" throttle bodie i have offers very little throttle control which isn't ideal for feathering the throttle on track and strip

Also bought some carbon door cards about a year ago when i bought the windows so decided now that i had stripped the interior to fit them

My new seat for driving into the workshop, absolute nightmare to drive msl:

    Before:

    After:

Decided to keep the frame work around the handle as it helps retain some stiffness in the door

All the non essential stuff removed amazing how much weight tbh

Then self tappered the door card on and fitted the window, have kept the trim and seal for a non poverty look, gonna get the trim flocked when the dash is done

    mmmmm carbon :love2:

Outside look, like the fact it's light smoke tinted polycarbs

Just need to come up with a way of locking the slider for a bit of added security, and i'll do the other side when i next get a spare couple of hours

the ones i have use a split pin on a chain on one of the bolts, that you can pop in from the inside only into the sliders runner, which pins the window shut, obviously some force would still get it open, but its as much of a deterrent as you can get with perspex and sliders imo

Have thought about that but my slider rail is very thin about 1mm in the remaining bit that hasn't been cut out so that may not be possible

then just make a piece of perspex that will drop into the channel behind the window to act like a stop

So far so good only minimum squirtage, what I'd gonna do is weld a fitting on the catch tank and attach a pipe that runs back round and goes into the dipstick tube which will complete the circuit if you get what I mean

    Re: dewismotorsport's C20LET Corsa gsi

Got the car back in the workshop and cut the other door out

    And fitted door card

Then set about trying to get the dreaded tar off the floor, tried soaking it in petrol, worked a bit softening it slightly but wouldn't recommend, such a wierd feeling pouring petrol into your pride and joy msl:

Went back to the old trusted method of heat gun and scraper, managed to get it up in about an hour and a half, as I managed to find the perfect temp it likes to be heated too so came up it big bits Worst part was over the tunnel under the dash as it was a different tar with what looked like bin bags stuck to it. Just need to wipe it down with some thinners to clean it up.

Also trial fitted the drivers seat

I've decided I'm not happy with where the standard location is and want to start from scratch so will remove the front seat supports totally by drilling out there spot welds, I'm also going to remove the section behind that which goes up and over the tunnel by the handbrake as that will be in the way as well, reason being if you push a bucket with side mount as far over as the standard set up allows it doesn't allow you to sit perfectly in front of the steering wheel and I don't want to move the steering colloum as that then has a knock on effect with the trim etc
