Re: Mk1 Nova project
nah not yet, i had a pic of the carbs on a technical thread to get some info but im just throwing together a simple mild steel manifold from bits laying around at work for now. It wont be pretty lmao but im going to look into developing a proper alloy one which matches the ports. Lots of CNC work!

Re: Mk1 Nova project
gona get some pics up this morning when i can be arsed going outside when its -5 lol. Need to measure distance between head and bulkhead for carbs clearance. Also been thinking about a later-type Mk1 SR front bumper and grille, what do people think?

Re: Mk1 Nova project

Rear bumper has been lightened and put on quick release pins. Quite easy to do - i mounted the pins on the original brackets and drilled the bumper.

I love red Novas on GTE Teardrops, they look cool as ****!!

Re: Mk1 Nova project
its way too cold to do owt this morning, got up at 7.30 with the intention of doing the clutch but the enthusiasm had gone completely when i looked outside.

i might eventually get round to stripping this 1200 SPi engine for any useful parts, its been a garden ornament since April

Re: Mk1 Nova project
Current plans for the car: possibly being sold a Spax RSX kit which should really set the handling, later-type Mk1 SR grille and bumper which will be put on quick release pins. The only work which has been done recently is I have fabricated a manifold for the bike carbs and have trial fitted them ready to fit all the water pipes and fuel pipes around them etc. Pics to come when weather improves

Re: Mk1 Nova project
Just won a pair of twin 40s
and my mate has a Nova Sport manifold for me so they will be going on instead of bike carbs. Also got a sump guard coming my way but a broken leg puts a halt to any progress
maybe bucket seats and polycarbonate windows too
