    Nova 8v track car

So after my prelude died a nasty death resulting in a hole in the block my track day fun seased...
but not long after an oppertunity to buy back a car that been with family and friends for probably 10 years came up..

Origonally a 1.2 my now sister inlaw used it everyday for work, then my brother got his hands on it built a 1300
fast road engine that made around 110bhp...
the engine was then sold and a xe on TB was fitted untill money was tight and the TB were sold...

The Rolling shell was then sold to a mate to use as an everyday car, and he put an seh in it.
after he somehow managed to blow it up, it then got a 1.8 8v engine...

He has now removed that engine and put it in a corsa so me and my bro have decide to go
halves and build a decent track car (but on a budget)..

When we picked it up it looked abit sorry for its self sat on 14" steelies...

So i popped home and picked up some wheels ive had sitting around and stuck them on.

We then went a picked up a cavalier 2.0 gls to pich the engine from,
and spent some time cleaning it up new
cambelt kit waterpump leads cap rotor arm plugs etc...

We will be using an f16cr gearbox and i have a quaife atb in the pipe line for it, we have a lexmaul fast road cam
sitting around so thats going in it...
and ofcourse a aluminium pulley and steel lightweight flywheel.

Just waiting to get some workshop space back and the car is goin in for abit of much needed TLC with the welder.

we were gonna put an seh cam in it, but then we found the lexmaul one which is supposed to be a slightly better version of an seh, put still power from 2500rpm, if we use the seh ecu we would need to change the loom and TPS aswell so just more expence for little gain.

We are gonna make an exhaust mani flange and put the xe mani pipework onto it, not sure if it will give us any more poke but its an easy cheap mod so worth a try.
