e30 bmw 318i ....beast

So i've gone and bought an e30 bmw last week after my mistake of buying an auto fiesta thats slipping more than a session of slide and ride action.

so a quick flick through driftworks.com came up with this, i know it looks abit sorry for itself but its got potential it was only £250 tax and test till end of this month mind.

As i'm now working in a garage i put it on the ramp, i have to say its really good underneath.
It does need a new back panel that has been wacked previously but i can cut it out and reweld a new one in, it also needs a new front panel as its been wacked but its bolt on.
We also have a bodyshop so its going back delphin grey at some point.

Stuff i've changed are the spoiler i binned it along with the eyebrow and the wheels are being changed for bbs hopefully getting some tomorrow.

Things i need, new seats as there ripped,
Hydrolic lifters
coilovers looking at FK Sport Edition Plus Coilovers as they seem cheapest at £550
tech 1 rear spoiler if i can find one
powerflex the chassis
m-tech steering wheel
318is chin spoiler
2.5 front legs
then the a 1.8 16v later on as the 8valver isnt as guttless as i imagined in the first place





its now cleaner has a black grille, 318is rear spoiler and i need to get rid of the chrome.

Also that nurburg sticker isnt a lie it has actually been round the ring lol

needs new front panel as you can see its wacked. needs a splitter and new vr6 ones on ebay are 12quid bargain



picked the new wheels up yesterday, decent tires pirelli 6000's.
debating whether to paint them black, anthracite or leave them silver?
also needs a major slam

Very nice looking car All it needs is an intercooler , mitsu turbo and a megasquirt (or any other programmable managment)

cheers bud! If i was going to go turbo i'd go 2.8 24v straight six But alas but my ideas are to big for my pockets lol
16v route for starters and i've seen z3 1.9 16v's with low miles going for 200quid.

not much progress yet, just went through its mot no fails just a bit of play
in the rack means good time to find a z3/e36 rack to tighten it up.



i bought some 16v springs and cut a coil out check out the fist action!! Sits nicely on the front now and its not wallowing everywhere



painted the rims black



seems to be some odd damage to the front cross member


damage to the rear, i've bought a complete back panel to replace it.
Something for the weekend to do, got to brush up on my welding skills lol

just need to replace the bolt on front panel and i can get it in the paint shop
i was thinking black with a slight gold flip or black with slight red flip but then if i scratch it cant really match it.
suggestions please

Alittle update






i'll have to get this done at work dont really want to mess about
without a ramp plus its the petrol spout






bmw brazed the panel gaps up which made it harder, but then thats better than aload of old sealent
talking of sealent theres loads its so thick, i need to grind it all back tomorrow to finish it. I ground all the remaining inner panel out as its brazed, but all done now, new panel fits like a glove.....sort of.
