    Dj_Faisca Calibra C20xe Turbo :D

    Hello people.

    I´m from Portugal and i have a Opel calibra c20xe 150ps which recently i applied a turbo.

    On this tread I present to you my Opel Calibra c20xe Turbo, it not finish yet but it rides on roads.

    Engine :
    - opel c20xe 150ps
    - Original pistons
    - Original transmissions

    Modifications:
    - Turbo MHI TD04 11G, from BMW 525tds
    - Motronic 2.8 injectors (243cc i think)
    - CPU Motronic 2.5 with chip by M-Tech
    - Air filter type BMC CDA
    - V-Max Actuator
    - Interculer 75x23x6
    - Inox pipes for interculer paited on blac
    - Dump Valve, piston
    - Borbet Type T rims 16x9, Tires 215/40

    Next Modifications:
    - Forged pistons

    So i have one question...

    which of the two turbos is the best??

    - The kkk k16 (original turbo from opel calibra 4x4turbo)

    OR

    - The MHI TD04 11G (original turbo from BMW 525 TDS "Disel" )

    Nice build mate I would love to know exactly how you managed to fit the turbo, that looks like an awesome conversion! Are you having problems with the standard pistons as most people would recommend forged pistons for a turbo conversion.

    I managed the turbo by original ECU, after some days i put the chip that seels on the M-Tech, they are now 4000km with this aplication and a don't have any problem, but the turbo onely do 0,5bar pressure, to put more pressure i need forged pistons.

    nice build! a lot of room for improvement! you will need to work on internals there.

    are you running stock compression?!

    Yes i´m running stock compression, then i have the turbo only 0.5bars

    you can buy some LET pistons and fit them, its a easy mod to do (sort of), they are not as expensive and should be fine for about 300hp!

    Yes, in this moment i have the c20let pistons to put in... on the next month i will put the pistons and another this, like ECU motronic 2.7 chiped by V-Max. etc

    the MHI TD04 is beter becouse is bigger than k16 and in high rpm can flow more
    install TD04 if you want to upgrade power in future

    look and c20xe pistons are from forged aluminium but problem is compresion ration
    with xe-pistons you have about 10.5:1 cr can detonate easy and destroy your pistons with higher pressure than 0.6bar+
    with let pistons you have about 9.5:1 cr you can increase presure more than 1bar+

    question do you have change pressure regulator and injectors or you are runing with std c20xe bye

    looks good

    i'm turbo'ing a xe, only difference will be thicker head gasket and i want over a bar going through it, but i'm running megasquirt.

    Not keen on the ducting cold feed pipe being used in between air flow / mass meter .
    That aint gonna take anything before giving up .
    I canny invest in ya and for that reason , I'm oot .

    I had A C20Let with a crankshaft from XE on the exhaust side,it gives a better reaction on higher Rpm a little bit.

    Hello again

    First sorry i´m not post more information on my project since last year

    Second i stop the project of c20xe Turbo, and start another project for my calibra.
    The idea is to put on my calibra a c25xe and put one or two turbos, for this i need help from all of you guys.

    First question is what better gearbox f20 or f25??
