TBH, I was going to ignore this, but I can't stop mulling it over. I've done 15,000 miles in this car since I bought it in august. The last car I had was sold undamaged. The car before that was sold, and the tiny accident it did have was fixed on the drive. The car I had before that I wasn't even driving when we crashed, and it wasn't our fault.

In future, can you kindly keep your dickhole, completely unfounded comments to yourself. I've had a ****ing wank day, my neck is ****ing killing me.

I'm not going to type out what happened on here for the whole world to see. Suffice to say the Mondeo looks like it's toast.

I imagine so. The guys that recovered it certainly seemed to think it was a total loss.

lmao lmao Not very often I get angry, certainly not over something someone's said on the interweb. I feel quite embarrassed reading that back now.

Jack, hard luck fella, as long as you are alright, thats all that matters.
Seen your E34 thread, but thought I'd tell you anyways - Going to be advertising my dark blue 78K stop gap TD vectra very soon, could be a slightly more economical idea than a BM.

Thanks Pete, much appreciated. I'd love the Veccy, but I need a car to ship me to work and back for a couple of months, so it was a bit of a rush purchase! lmao Thanks for thinking of me though!

Ah bugger, thats a shame Jack, glad to hear your alright mate. Sure you know the insurance outcome already but i would say if that is an airbag i see in the pic then it will be a right off, gets very very expensive once that happens, especially as thats the passenger one so new dash required.
Anyway doesn't matter, onwards and upwards look forward to seeing another tidy Vectra.

(oh and the BM looks much cooler anyway! )

Re: Jack's big comfy diesel road-going boat

Thought I might as well resurrect this thread with the tales of the new land boat!

Picked this up a few weeks ago for the princely sum of £2000. It's a 54-plate facelift Ghia, 130bhp TDCI with a six speed gearbox, climate control, cruise control, wood trim.... lmao

It was cheap because it needs some little odd jobs doing to it. So far it's had a wishbone, an equal length drive shaft, EGR blanked off, a new boost hose and a really good service. I've also had the clocks out to change the bulbs as the middle two had blown.

Could do with buying a Haynes manual or something, but it's easier to just guess and work it all out as I go along. lmao

Got a thermostat on the way, as I've changed the main one and found out it has another. So far loving it. Cruising at 65mph is about 2000rpm and gets me about 55mpg, and it has some really nice little touches like lights under the wingmirrors to illuminate the doors. So glad I went for a facelift!

Hello Jack firstly my apologies, I didn't know you had lost the other Mondeo, but nevertheless glad you were OK apart from some pain in the neck! and then you got the E34, ( Now I realise why you got thye E34 in the first place - sorry i didn't check your thread) so i take it this is going to replace your BM. Good luck and happy & safe motoring in the future!

Mind you I did like the colour of your first Mondeo more.

    Cheers!

Currently on the hunt for a new wheel to replace a buckled one, and I've got some new discs to go on the front as I suspect mine are crinkle-cut.

Got all the major issues sorted, it's just all these little faffy jobs that take ages and get on your nerves.
