That boot looks like the perfect size for a Nova windscreen...lol
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.

Had my new windscreen fitted a month or so ago by a top guy at Autoglass who raced Peugeots.

Fitted some HIDs today, just waiting for it to get dark so I can see the difference.

I know someone with a 115 and drove it the other day . They go very well , also notice that you have got a proper actautor that you could adjust ?

Yes I have, as it's a fixed-vane turbo. I think it's a bit hit and miss as to whether you get a variable-vane job, but mine is fixed, so adjustment is possible. What would I want to do, shorten it?

Sadly not as easy a job as I initially hoped. Nothing you couldn't sort by being a bit creative, but this is my daily car after all, I never intended to do much with it. At the sight of this I put the heat sheild back on. Standard boost will have to do.

I did... however... get a crafty remap yesterday which means I can sell the tuning box.

    Maximum ftlbs. lmao

Much nicer with a map on it compared to the tuning box, goes really well now.

Re: Jack's big comfy diesel road-going boat

Just a quick update! lmao Discovered some cheeky rust, so the Mondeo has had a new sill and both rear arches sprayed. New exhaust for the MOT and all is well again.

Did 591 miles over the weekend and it didn't miss a beat. Averaged 58mph. I think you're right Mr. Ives, it does have the Cavalier personality!

Re: Jack's big comfy diesel road-going boat

Sadly. I was a bit surprised as well, but it rolled over to 126,000 miles over the weekend, so it's not as if it's never been driven. lmao

    58MPG or MPH?

Dealing with any sort of rust on an 8 year old car must be very depressing.

Even more depressing when you consider that my first Astra (L-reg) and the Cavalier (M-reg) didn't have a spec of rust. The Cavalier had 169,000 miles on it when I sold it, didn't have a spot of rust anywhere. To have to spend money on a sill and getting arches treated is annoying. But, having said all that, I know people who are paying what I spent on a sill every month on a payment for a new car. So, it could be worse, IMO.

What's this about shocks too? Longevity does not seem to be this Mondeo's strong point.

Re: Jack's big comfy diesel road-going boat

Oh God it needs some shocks, desperately. It's like driving the QE2. Nice and comfy, but it doesn't half wallow around.

As above Dan, it has done a fair few miles, the shocks have been up and down a few times. I had a set on the Cavalier at about this many miles.
