Why bigger valves on our engine? Running stock sizes but better stuff on exhaust side.
car weight : 1200kg including driver, just basic weight loss.

What boost controller are you using, I use the Gizzmo MS-IBC and find it very good as it does 6 different boost settings, On my car i stage my boost from 2nd gear and with the controller i gained 2 tenths on the 1/4 mile
    Opel Corsa 20xe throttle bodies - 245bhp - 13.2 1/4 mile
    Opel Corsa 20XE Turbo - 10.7 1/4 mile @ 231km/h
    Opel 200TS - eds phase 2 - water/methanol 306bhp @ 0.9 bar boost - stock turbo

    720whp

but really need to mount the new 2430cc injectors cause the 1680cc is to freaking small
100% duty at 4,2bar ground fuel pressure.

mechanical boost controller, do not want to have some electronic controlling our boost at 2,8bar, it's to risky.

if you have to lower boost to increase time on the strip, there is something wrong with chassi or traction
full boost all the way, nothing else for us

I have looked at the GT4294R turbo...
    maybee or maybee not...

    we will see.

You cannot put all that power down from the line, on any track or setup. You need to compensate for track conditions, hence the boost control. But i'm sure you will go faster.

With a decent 4 link setup and the right tyres, even putting 720bhp all down off the line still shouldnt blow the tyres away

Haha, don't ever ever tell me that something isn't possible!

If you have to compensate engine power to get traction, you have to do something else besides lowering the power output.

    Q
So why do you think people run boost control ? ie. change to higher boost in higher gears, if you can just launch will full power from the line ?

    Pantera:
Boost controllers are mostly used to enable drivers to have different boost levels depending on how they intend to drive the car on the road/track.
Setting different boost on different gears is not common, at least not here in sweden.

Hi Qrew I have one more question for you please... are you using Mahle pistons? If so what made you choose these over aftermarket? Have you had any problems with them?

When we passed 600hp we changed to custom made CP-Pistons.

Complete spec and pictures will be published later this year since this year will probably be the last year with this car and engine, sadly to say.

But first we must brake some records and blow the engine when trying for a 900bhp dyno pull

wonder if time would improve further if you were to electrify the drive train using traction motors placed in each of the four wheels, driven by all of that 700HP driving a generator. The extra weight of the generator would be offset by the removal of mechanical gear box and the drive shafts and propshaft. including the diff.

Electric drive would provide linear acceleration all the way to the top speed without excessive (or hardly any wheel spin) wheel spin at that power.

With ever increasing whp, and faster and faster take off, he will need to spend some extra thoughts to his driver's seat gear, especially the seat mounts and the cage system.

    Seat mounts? Really?

I bet you could sit in a standard Corsa or Calibra seat, as fitted in the factory and be launched by a 1000bhp drag engine, and the seat mount would not fail.

Do you just make these things up? lmao What next, uprated indicator stalks?
