Nova 1.6 + nitrous!!!

This is my nova build i have uploaded some of the pictures that i found on my computer but i have loads more and will upload them soon. This i my project car and basically i picked up a nova merit+ for 290 quid. It was a mint shell, i used it for a run around for a bit then decided to upgrade it alot. I had a 1.6gte engine my previous car that was in my corsa sri, it was in standard trim with an exhaust and filter and ran it up at santa pod and got a 16.01 @ 84mph out of it.

So after speaking to my brother and friend we got to work on my engine and building a nice powerful 1.6 and built it to take a good shot nitrous. I sent the block away and got everything balanced a rebore so i have +20 pistons in it now all new bearings and so on. My brother and friend started to rebuild it and recommended a cam and carbs for me. I got my brother to do the head work for me so it flows nice matched ports the works. I have a kent cams veiner, kent cams ast3 cam, and new twin 45 webers, and bosch distributor. Gearbox got a rebuild kit and a tall 5th put in it with a quaife atb lsd. Got group a compition mounts put in and a custom 2 1/4 exhaust made up. Basically bedded the engine in the got my friend to tune the carbs. After it had be tuned up it pulled hard run it on the road for a little bit last year went well. I was beating corsa's with xe's typical scoobys etc. Now this year it is time to refresh the body work and get the nitrous plumbed in!!! Hope to run it up at santa pod in august.

Thats looking really good mate . and thats a good time you got at santapod... my mate had a C16SE in his corsa sport and got a 16.2 which was pretty much standard everything, he coudnt do it any faster out of maybe 20 runs lol so we put the weight of the car down to its downfall :P

it should be about 165hp on engine and depends how mad with the nitrous i go the most i prob go is a 75hp shot on my controller and also i have changed the gearing for the car so should accellrate alot quicker than last time because i had a long ratio box and have messed around with gears and have a nice close ratio through 1st to 4th and a nice tall 5th for coursing on the motorway rather than screaming at 3500rpm at 70mph lol

this is my run around opel corsa gsi with 43,000 genuine miles on it that i picked up for 350 pounds with lowering springs but i put the spax rsx kit that i had on my nova and cav slabs then fitted it will cavalier turbo leathers inside. It needed a good service but the body wor needs tlc it is due it so i give it a nice tidy up with the help of my bro.







as trail fitted my drag slicks to it so i had plenty of clearise for the brakes then i know they def fit my nova!!!!

that corsa is lovely i want it the colour isnt one iv seen very often. whens the nitrous getting fitted then?

is that corsa blue or grey? can't quite tell because the first picture looks like its a similar colour to my blue cheers love the look of both of them!!

the corsa colour is forest blue and the drag tyre's are m&h tyres from america the size is for a 13 inch wheel they are 9 inch wide and 23 inche's tall drag radials. The wheels are 13x8 weller multi fits they just fit over a astra gte brakes 256mm. I bought them off a friend that had 800hp going through them and he said on a good preped track they won't spine up just grip and go. What car you thinking about putting slicks on???

my brother and i had a hard day this weekend getting welding and the cage in. I will have some more pics up at the end of the week i have been working hard cleaning the inside out and getting ready to spray it and then this weekend off to the body shop. The carbon fibre doors are a complete arse so i going to let the body shop deal with them so alot of pics to come over the next few weeks. Also i hope to have it run at santa pod for the pv show hopefully be running the nitrous then!!!

sold the opel corsa gsi and have to resort to using my own power on my push bike
