Ok thanks for the heads up mate i will do just that with mine. Went to local factors this morning they dont have seam sealer but said tiger seal will do same job (will this be ok). Did you use the Tetrosyl stonechip tin for the gun, i will be using spray on as i have no gun for that. There was 2 different types there Tetrosyl and Shultz which one would you recommend.

I put these on my LET and it never ever gets hot... Even on hot summer days in traffic.

The car is a credit to you though mate. I like clean cars lmao

I haven't ever used tiger seal so i can't comment on that, your better off going to local body shop suppliers! As far as i'm aware tetrosyl has wax oil in it so its not over paintable! As the one i used on my first conversion ages ago did! Just make sure its over paintable and you will be fine! I also used white stone chip

I have got a cool running stat... But i use the standard fan switch! I may have to look into this if it keeps getting to warm!

Thankyou, looking forward to seeing yours again

    Update time again:

First off i gave the rad i good polish 50/50:

Fitted my 12" Fan with proper fan ties

    New Genuine Fan switch

    and all fitted

Since the engine build I sometimes get a small "puff" of blue smoke high up in the revs, I don't think its valve steams as these are new as is everything else on the engine! At TVL i got talking to steveboyslim and he advised me that sometimes the kkk16 turbos can suffer with excessive oil feed and said regal used to sell a restrictive banjo bolt which he now sells and happened to have one on him, so i thought i would give it ago as its the easiest option!

Standard oil feed vs modified feed

    And fitted

Ill keep you posted how i get on

I then re routed the throttle cable

    cheers

yer but it was too stiff, even with the easiest route and it drove horrible! So its back to how it was until i get a longer cable :P

Update on the rad, works great and i can now drive it hard without the coolant temp shooting up! Happy Days!

    Nothing!

    Re: Project "Monty"

I re-lubed my cable as it too was stiff routed round there it was fine after that.

I used a teflon lube from a motorbike supplier, can't remember it's name though.

    Re: Project "Monty"

    Update time again

Right its been really busy weekend/week, I had him rolling roaded on Sunday but had a small mishap when the actuator bracket bolt snapped! it did a total of 6 runs at 15psi! He made 256 hp @ flywheel 224 hp @ the wheels and 256.8lbft at 33.2 C which was ****ing hot before the bracket bolt went but still managed 242.5 hp @ flywheel 210.7 hp @ the wheels 249.3 lbft after! I have since replaced the bolt which I had to drill and helicoil but its fixed now and I'm booked back in tomorrow night to have the boost turned up

    How it started

    Bumper off

    onto the rollers looking evil

The Graphs, you can see the blue run is where the bolt snapped as the boost isn't as high and drops off!

    The bolt

Back at home the next day Removing inlet housing ready for drilling

And its all back together ready for tomorrow, hopefully have more luck then

    Dale

Yer i am happy enough at the moment!

    Bit of a late update:

Well Wed 18th I was back down the rolling road

Am alot happier with the results although its only 2hp by looking at the graphs but its the way if drives now and holds boost! It now makes power all the way to the 6,500 where before it would drop off at 5,750 and this was before the bolt snapped! Boost now peaks at 17psi and holds 15psi! I also fitted a MBC but was unable to turn the boost up more as we found the exhaust was too small causing to much back pressure! So I am looking into buying either a longlife or bluefame 3" system as the backbox is still a jetex "of the self" item which isn't design for a turbo and has a small outlet! The other problem We came across is the "chips" aren't the best, i have to have my AFR at 11:1 at idle to make it stay in the 12/13's high in the rpm, otherwise it goes too lean! I am unsure of the chips as they came with my engine when i bought it a few years ago!

Since then I have bought Genuine Phase 3 EDS and saab red injectors and have looked into the exhaust more!

    Final Figures for now:

    BHP @ Wheels 219.6bhp @ 6,004rpm
    BHP @ Flywheel 260.6bhp @ 6,235rpm
    Torque 243.1lbft @ 5,041rpm

    The Graphs...

The reason for the rush was it was this was happening Saturday morning...

    And a picture I took:

Then Saturday evening I was off to a tunnel Run Again and heres a few of my car:

    Cheers
