    Re: Project "Monty"

    Update time:

Well went to TVL on saturday, was on total vauxhall display but not on track due to radiator being to small but i will be on track at action day

    Few Pictures from TVL

On Sunday i cracked up with changing my radiator because the standard 1.4 8v just wasn't up to the job anymore, shame worked great on the XE

Ordered a TX auto radiator awhile ago but I only received it on Friday night and I choice not to fit it as I didn't want to miss TVL!!

    Few of the Rad:

    Fan ties and Spares

    And removing the old rad!

(You can see where I had a oil leak from the cooler )

    Dirty

    Little wipe off

Checking fitment of new rad After removing the lower "pins"

    More soon....

    Cheers

Class dale, that radiator is the business, will help keep things a bit cooler. You know your crossmember, front towing eye section etc what did you use around that area as a paint. Mine is all treated rust but not sure weather to 2k it or stone chip etc ??

What was leaking, the actual cooler, or the fittings? It maybe worth doing them up tighter.

Cheers fella, I seam seal every join then Stonechipped/ undersealed using "stonechip Gun" make sure its over paintable - so it stays flat and the paint sticks to it then I used 2k paint because it was easier and the you mix the lacquer with it and its only one coat! I used standox paint with standard 10L as thats what the standard colour is!
