    My Astra GTE

Hey guys thought id put up a few pics of my latest Vauxhall, owned it since 24/12/08. Done a few jobs already

    new PAS pump
new N/S saft with new joints
changed rear seat as it was ripped
    new mats
    new refurbushed wheels off Dec.

Got a few more jobs to do, more waxoil, polybushes, new suspension, paint, brakes etc usual stuff etc and plan one day is to convert to a LET, few years off yet but the Corsa will have to go to do this

    As i got it:

    Dec's wheels

    Todays pics:

Few minutes after these pics were taken some idiot over shot the junction reversed back too fast for me too react and hit my bumper, only damage was i lost a headlight washer jet. Wasnt very happy but thats life gotta get it fixed get bumper repainted (needed doing anyway), get jets working and add more waxoil once bumper is off.

Nice! They always look good in White, possibly the definitive colour.

I think you are crazy to run std width rims & tyres unless intent on keeping it OE. If theres one thing mk2 GTE's need IMO is 15"s & a -30mm drop. They eat up the miles though & are a pleasure to drive. Best car(s) I've owned tbh.

    keep us updated.

That's the reason so many GTEs have no washer jets. They are the first thing to take any impact on the front, and of course not being designed for this they so easily snap off.

I've come out to my car in a car park to find one broken off on the ground where some idiot has obviously manouvered into it. I even did one myself when I got too close to a wall. It flew up about 6 foot in the air.

Good to have a few spare.

V.nice GTE though. Agreed it should stay 20XE.

sold the mo's as they were 15's, has to be 16's or 17's on these cars, if the mos were these sizes they would of stayed on. Thinking of speedlines too, whats 16 or 17 inch rim like on a 60mm drop on these?? rubbing, hump issues??

    Re: My Astra GTE

nice clean GTE mate, I've got 2 mk2's myself, one white ofcourse! Yours looks pukka with those standard wheels on! I love gte's...

It is a nice tidy example, there's plenty of standards to go around! Get a LET in there, Mine's got one in! will be finished in may, will be taking it billing!

I'm also going the spares thing on sunday to get myself some bargains!

keep us posted on what you do with it.

The pic I posted is what you have described and I had no rubbing issues, unless I was 5 up and went over a bump. I had no lip on the rear arches mind.
