Where did you get that micro alternator? Will it be enough to charge the battery- I am putting a 2.5 v6 in a Corsa B at the minute and a smaller alternator would be handy

Ebay jobbie mate. Yeah it will be plenty to charge the battery as it only has to run the engine, lights a couple of ceramic heater fans and a few gauges at most so it shouldn't be an issue.

Have you considered using one from a corsa 1.2 or similar as they are fairly small, this was my original plan untill i found this, i mean even the alternator off an c20xe would be a fair amount smaller as the 120amp ones are fugging huge.

I havent decided which alternator to use yet because this one will have ICE and everything in it so will need one that is up to the job!
Have you modified the rear exhaust manifold yet? That is where I am at the minute and I was quite pleased to find that the rear ex manifold isnt cast so will be easier to weld back together once it has been cut.

    Hi

How are you getting on with this project ?

i have just got my hands on a 2.5 1997 vectra engine that im considering trying to fit into a old nova or corsa but i cant find any info on anyone done it or doing it.

is there any other topics about about v6 swaps in either car and the search function isnt helping me
