Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.
IIRC if it has a knock sensor then it doesn't have a RON plug.

Just cap and stowe the wires in the loom... that plug is the shorting point to test the fan on the rad. so if your fan is'nt kicking in, you can short 2 of the pins out (i think 5 and 6) and the fan fires up, then you know the temp switch is goosed in the rad or if it does'nt fire up your fans goosed..

what do you use to get rid of the tar that is left after removing the sound deadening?
If you dont have anything percific then give it a go with some petrol. I used this on my nova and it worked very well.

Looking good dude. Be out in it soon. Jack, mines got both...
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
looking good rick. Be nice to see it all caged and painted.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"
Ive found the best way to get rid of tar mat ****e is with a hammer and a thin screwdriver. Gently tap all over the tar mat with a hammer, then it just chips straight off in big chunks and leaves no reside behind![]()
Ive found a heat gun, 2" flat scraper and celly thinners works the best done about ten race car builds now, and i keep going back to this system... they all work though
Gonna have a go at the front footwells tomorrow and see how i go on. Thanks for the tips though, been using a heatgun and 1" chisel and boy does the middle of my hand hurt at the minute!
Started stripping out the sunroof stuff tonight:
Got a bit bored after doing this bit though so going to go tomorrow for some new cutting disks to get the rest out. Have thought about the hole it will leave though. To get me up and running i am either going to use a window seal to stick a bit of perspex in the hole, or have a bit of alloy cut and bond it in from underneath. Dont really fancy a £400 bill for a roof at the min and i just want to get the car up and running first.

I just cut a bit of ali and riveted it over the hole that the sunroof left in the manta.
