You been reading Bella again lmao
Manifolds, flanges, collectors, bends and car transport PM your needs.
see it might be gay that rick reads bella (if indeed he does) but to incriminate yourself by recognising it in a photograph :P:P:P
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"
Gav i read it every night before bed lmao.
On a side note hopefully the next shell i get will be a none ABS one. If it is i intend to leave the stock metal brake lines in place for now and then just use them for a bit. Bot pissing about anymore as i just want a car done and on the road with my turbo engine in. What started as a quick build with a weld in cage and a bucket seat has turned into a fecking epic! I just want a car i can use for a bit and not fitting the braided brake lines will save me a bit of time and hassle at the moment. Likewise with the rear turrets, for now i am just gonna fit some gaz adjustable shocks and lowered rear springs. Cannot be bothered messing to much at the min.
Only thing i will do is fit the braided fuel lines, a uprated fuel pump and the new alloy fuel swirl pot.

I can see you point with the line of you havent made them already but personally Id get the turrets put in when the cage and rear brace goes is, before any paint. It will be an utter ballache to do properly in the future.

Why the need for rear turrets at all? There are plenty of corsas running rear coilovers with no turreting.

The Hockly cage does not got to the strut tops, its designed to go like this:
Infact that is a Hockly cage so mine should look identical to that.
I was only going to turret the rear to create space for the tyre if i was to run 888's or something all round. However i will now probably not bother using 888's on the rear after speaking to gav and people.

i was gonna say that lmao
Good choice to pay a bit more to start with a good straight donor IMHO rather than saving a few hundred quid (which is irrelevant on these sort of builds) to buy something less than perfect.

Cheers Chip. Ok it cost me £200 or so than we both wanted to pay. £200 to me is worth that in having a full sorted epas setup at least. Some people on here will view it as a waste of money but i dont. I have a epas setup sat in the garage doing nowt and worth £200....
I really wanted a arden blue corsa and i have got one.

People pay more than that just for a paintjob, and dont get a finnish like you have there, and you got a free epas setup and a free car with it.
BARGAIN based on your criteria for a shell, seriously, I really do mean that.

I think thats a good buy as well TBH Rick, granted you are looking at a front wing and paint for it but thats it (I have an OE panel from my GSI, it was a brand new drivers side wing that did about 200 miles tops on my car if you need it? Going for peanuts!)
At the end of the day I payed more than that for what I class as a concourse Metro shell, no point in saving a bit of money when you have to start paying for welding/full paint jobs etc as it is a false economy.
Paint on the front wing and you are off!![]()
You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don't do too many things wrong.
Warren Buffett.
good price for a sweet car IMO
I like it Rick! Good choice![]()

All it will get is a arden blue wing and bumper from the scrap yard and then its mint. I had to get a type 2 shell like this one is and it had to have no sunroof and ideally no aircon, none of which this has. Thought it was quite cheap really, as Lee pointed out to me the other day small engined cars seem to be fetching more with the recession as everyone wants to save money on fuel.
