Used my dremel and a cutting disk to remove some of the standard bulkhead so the front triangulation can go straight to the strut top.

Any chance it won't have a 65mm hole to put a 40mm cage through this time ?

There is a trick to it and it doesn't involve a hole saw lmao

Cut the other side of the firewall out today:

Then got busy with the spot weld drill bit and the funking grinder:

I am now officially sick of drilling spot welds and removing tar ****.

Rick has actually done it the hard way by the looks of it, if you gently heat an area and use a paint scaper to get under it then gently heat an inch or so forward of the scraper you can remove it in massive sections without it leaving as much behind as his did.

Tried both ways, for some reason the stuff just does not want to come off!

It gets easier on older cars, mut be the time it has to harden and the road flex on chasis.

I used to build grasstrack mini's and you could tap it with an old chisel and it all used to pop off!!!

    Shexy seats.
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Started with this pile of wires earlier and began thinning it out:

Left it like this earlier on, about 60% thinned out:
