You can't get thicker than a Kwik-fit fitter.
feckin hell at that rate of work it will be on the road by march lol
good work buddy.
bloody hell! you made that floor pan your bitch!! lmao
your soo fast dude
looking good matey i had to get one of my friends to make the first cut.
as boot is going to sit a bit higher you will need to look at making some pannels to sit over hereand the other side also on the other side of here
there are 4 or 5 more holes that the boot will sit half way over and might need pannels making hope this helps
Excellent work rate as always Ron.
I know you've sold the turbo, but did you sell the manifold aswell? Need to find one to fit my T3 with.
Chris.
Roll on Billing 2012 the dodgems are coming!!

Awesome, I can't wait to see some rear subframe action.
Are you having your own fuel tank made?I know of a guy with a 4x4 Astra and I think he has a Cally turbo fuel tank.

i don't know if its the shape of the floor or to make sure the wheels sit properly in the arch, but a few people i spoke to that have done 4x4 astra's said its got to be 3 or 4
inches higher at the rear, the front's exactly the same, it could just be the floors a different shape at the back, it is out of a totally different car after all lmao
i have got a calibra 4x4 tank, not really sure where it sits under the floor tholmao but most proberly get carried away and put a nice big alloy tank inside
the bloke with that cossie'd mk2 got a very nice tank and swirl pot, mite drop him a message see where he got it from

Nice work there chap.![]()
was gona do this to my van when i still hadmy cally t shell but dont have the skills to cut and weld different floor pans in
1999 saab 9-3 viggen 2.3 turbo
quite an active day today, woke up at 9am, but just stayed in bed watchin tv till 6pm when i got hungry lmao lmao
so only had a few hours of astra-in time lmao
wanted to get the rest of the spot welds out today
a hour drilling later and front and both sides all off
next was the boot floor to rear pannel, i new it had had a stuff up the arse or something of that effect due to the rather un factory sound dedening pads all the way along the rear pannel, and the only reason for that would be to cover someting up
but as it turns out it was actually pretty much holding the boot floor to the rear pannel  the chassis leg wasnt even connected to the rear panel, just a little tack at the bottom, and the brace for the rear pannel bolt wasnt even connected at all  this section just wiggled off by hand, only one tack on the rear pannel in this section lmao
and there was just a tack every 8 inches then the same the other side  all just wiggled off by hand! lucky all those sound deading pads were on there lmao
easyest bit to come off so far lmao
so theres the astra boot floor all out
i can see why the rear of the boot floor is going to sit alot higher than the origional astra floor as the shape is totally differend going from the rear seats to the boot floor
i roughly tried it on to see how much longer a calibra is, and its quite a bit lmao
the new boot floor looks quite bad on the pics, but is a minter really, it was all shotblasted by the buy that removed it and got damp where i was storing it, but its only on the surface, just rubs off
the other thing ive been getting quite a few emails to to with today is some how my car and engine has made its way onto ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Calibra-2-Litr...1%7C240%3A1318
but its not me selling up dont worry ha ha the specs not even the same as mine, and those three pics where on the very first day i got it, over 2 years old now  dont know who it is though lmao
just messaged him saying, is that the astra and engine that was in the total vauxhall magazine last year, is that still the same engine that was mint lmao lmao
thats well funny, a bit cheeky really but it must give you some kind of satisfaction
to see that someone is using pics of your engine to try and sell theirs

Out of interest what did you use to rub the surface rust off?
