yea GAZ were so helpfull, and im total unexpieranced in suspension settings, have no idea what it all means or what each number results in, the most technical suspension setting up ive ever been in to is -40mm or -60mm or cut in half, thats it lmao and they expained it all out and have me all the help and info i needed, relying 2-3 times a day to email! very impressed

Excellent prices and you should end up with a setup better than anything you could have gotten off the shelf. Nice going!

Great news on the suspension, I spoke to them last week for some Nova suspension and as you say, were incredibly helpful and very well priced! Looking forward to updates when parts arrive.

cheers lads, yea very pleased with their help so far and even more pleased at the prices they came to and from what i've read gaz are pretty good stuff and like you say, will be a far better setup than anything off the shelf hopefully.
as for the tunnel, my mate gets sierra's in all the time for bangers, so that options there after his next race, or make my own, not decided yet.

Re: Ronnie's project RWD :D - mk3 astra gsi turbo rear wheel drive ;)

just started making some coilovers for the front of my van,has worked out Ł140 for all the bits, couldnt use the rally deisgn bits tho as i couldnt find them in the rite size to fit over the struts,so have gone for the 2.25 kit from deem tweeks and 2.5 springs, allready got some shocks so should be ok,didnt realsie how cheap you could get them made for you tho

rally design do do a kit big enough to go over the astra shocks, but its not listed on their web site, you have to ask specificly for them, thats what oztec (think thats his name) on here used on his astra, comes in at 100quid plus shocks, and thats what i've got comin for my van as a test, using my koni adjustable shocks, but tbh i'm concidering for this now just getting the fronts from gaz as u can get some sorted gaz coilovers compleate for 250 quid!

Gaz are a excellent company to deal with. I had some coilovers made for my Mk3 Astra, the prices surprised me too.

Ron, did they work out the best spring size for you? eg what corner weight it will be etc. We are both in the same boat as in can't really get a accurate weight from our empty shells! lmao

they've quoted me 185+vat for gold fronts each in short body (270mm). Springs are another Ł20 which is also cheap.

yea were very helpfull in recomendin springs for the purpose, and due to it bein rwd etc! i shan't be cornerweightin mine, we used to do it at my old work, might get u half a second a lap on the track, but it makes ya car sit wonky when stationary lol, and is all ****ed up as soon as you pick up a passenger! so not really any point for a road car!
