| corsa gsi c20let build here we have my corsa gsi turbo build...
bought it as a rolling shell a few months back from a mate who has had it on his drive for the last 10 months or so.
all complete minus the engine:
i then decided to get it onto my garage and start to strip it. this was done over a few days.
the shell itself is very clean and im very very happy with it. only tiny bit on drivers side rear sill(bloody sunroofs)
i then started to buy things like polybushes etc.
i then got offered a corsa vxr turbo for a good price so i was going to build a c16 turbo but that wasnt going to be cost effective for decent power so i started onthe lookout for a c20let
managed to get a complete cally turbo with loads tax and test on it.
shame really but was leaking in water from somewhere and that pissed me off so had to strip it...
during this time ive now moved into a bigger garage to fit the cally and the corsa into and the corsa has gone for respray..
i then started to strip down the loom etc off the engine to get it ready for removal..
before:
After:
borrowed a mates engine crane and proceeded to take it out..
the corsa has now come back from the bodyshop. staying original
very happy with the results!!!
i have now started to order some bits for the engine:
new fmic:
3" tophat:
and some hard boost pipes..
it is now time to be all put back together:
have started to tidy up the wiring aswell will get more pics of that tonight..
started to strip the engine down aswell now as will be rebuilt before it goes into the corsa.
coscast aswell baby!!!
thats all for now |

| Re: corsa gsi c20let build Lovin that fella, they do look good in white..I cut my carpet down to just behind the front seats... i just got mine on the road they are such a laugh to drive. Give me a shout if you want a lightweight flywheel for it and a bit of advice, get an ATB diff fitted cos without it, it will be wheelspin tastic.

| Re: corsa gsi c20let build Some nice work there, I like the look of of those seats
As for the gearbox, you could fit part of the ABS from the calibra, clocks, abs sensor, ECU, you would have to get a driveshaft with a ABS ring on it. I did have a link on how to do it but it apears broken. So might be worth asking MarK T as it was his link. |
