Nova of doom :)

Hellooooo... as ive seen lots of build storys I thought i would post 1 of my own . The love 4 novas all started when i brought a red 1.4sr, i washed it about 5 times a week lol and obviously had big plans. So i started to learn more about what needed to be done to put a c20xe in.. and under closer inspection the shell was abit of a rust bucket.

soo after i discovered it was falling to bits i decided to buy 1 that was already done. so this time last year i found this.....

IMG]

had a quite a few quid spent on it and i picked it up pretty cheap, it just had the standerd xe with f20 box.. very nice shell aswell. i bet your all thinking take the spoiler off lol ive heard it so many times!

after having fun for a week or so i took the back seats out and brought a OMP 6 point roll cage. power coated it white and had it fitted...

then after a month or so the valve stem seals were f**ked, it was losing abit of oil and over fueling so i thought it was time to buy a new engine and put a few bits n bobs on it. i brought a c20xe, f18 gear box with lsd, kent cams and pulleys, and changed the water pump, cam belt etc etc.

few pics taking the engine out....

and with me wanting to do everything my self.. i did haha but it didnt go to plan
i put the cambelt on but with having ajustable pulleys i messed it up! the timing was slighty out and a valve went boom. it stuck its self in the piston and did damage to my coscast head aswell

so after a day of being annoyed with my self i thought i might aswell just go 4 it.. i started looking for a c20let. then came across this

new gasket set, new valve stem seals, courteny chip, hybrid turbo, high tourqe cams, uprated actuator and f28 box. so i brought it! it also came with all the receipts.
since then nothing much has happend i brought a few more things like paddle clutch, large intercooler, twin piston dump valve, v6 brakes, cosworth injectors, rs500 fuel pressure regualtor and avo coilovers.

will keep updated.. more pics to come

Looking at the first nova id not have thought the second was your style. not too keen on the bodywork on the black one, but if its a good shell and running a LET who cares!!
