| Re: Corsa Small block 1.8... This is going to be I good read I feel. Good to see you are not going the usual redtop route.
The Z18's respond well to a bit of boost i've read. There was one in total vauxhall a while back on the rollers if i remember correctly. |

| Re: Corsa Small block 1.8... Looks like an X18XE1 by the black on the engine cover (Although our 2000, Z18XE got the old cover)
Cable Throttle so an easier fit.

| Re: Corsa Small block 1.8... the only thing i didnt like about the z18 was its lack of go when revved highly but that was prob down to its gearing, will you be using the corsas box or the vectra one? |

| Re: Corsa Small block 1.8... yeah, but then that'll be extra expensive when i decide to change this way i'll have a decent clutch/box set up from the word go.
already got the shafts just a matter of making a spacer for rear mount.
just dunno how f15 will handle 180bhpish and nitrous on top :|
it's only a few kilos for more strength. |

| Re: Corsa Small block 1.8... just some small updates:
cut up a piston to check crown thickness in standard pistons and rod clearence ready to potentialy get some custom ones made up:
not too bad. oe pistons are pretty light weight to be fair don't think they'd take any abuse at all.
today finally got round to stripping coilovers off giving them a clean up as in my haste to get them on, i didnt coat them with grease:
alot better then i thought they would be to be fair
cleaned them up and gave a good coat of white grease and let it set before fitting
all made much easier using compressor mrs got me for xmas lol |
