small update of recent randomness.
Been buying ****.
First off, bought a camera - for errrr uni, yes. Cheapie ebay china job - bloody awesome for how (relatively) cheap it was! Good mic on it too, does bass - schwing!
got these bad boys from screamer69 this morning, cheers jay i'll rummage for some random (maybe useless) goodies to send back in return.

got this monstrously overkill thing to get better accuracy measuring my piston cc:
and a cheapie chinese scale to weigh the pistons&rods to make sure they're all closely matched, for when they go in (if ever lol):

that camera looks the t i t s man and 2 bar fuel pressure is useless thats why u have hc problems u only get a jet of fuel out with low pressure not a mist as needed at low revs and at high revs u are relying on turbulance and the heat of the valve to atomise the fuelif i was u i would be running3.5bar minimum and then sort out your maps as it will all change do u have a adjustable fpr?

I did a bit of filming with my older DV tape camera for a uni assignment earlier this year, and made some arms which bolted to the back of the car where the bumper used to go, anyway thrashed it about a bit and the vibrations and bumps killed the tape heads inside lol, this one just goes straight to a memory card - why didn't they make them like this from the start lol

true why bother with tapes cds vhs all that when thaycould of just made memory cards and small hard drives etc and i have been busy why i havent been on due to me byein my new car and lowering it and exhausts and all the other stuff u have to do asap when gettin a new vehical pics to follow![]()

yeah it sort of floats about around 14.2ish, on seh cam - but at 12 degrees my exhaust is practically an afterburner. It's about 16ish at the mo, seems to idle stronger
hopefully with better atomisation it will burn quicker.
Was really really low on fuel lol so thought i'll take it home and play with it another day, but had my lappy with me and everything![]()

weight reduction is what its all about man its a all alloy motor so no excuse for it to be a heavie car plus the lighter it is the less fuel it uses coz it a hungry mofo the now

cool beans, will go over the settings once again. I have a feeling i may be 1 degree out in the trigger settings, will have to see how she runs.

yep it wasthis one, comes with 8 gig card
they're all the same, just use different names etc, but same sensor, lenses, codecs etc.
It's good for the price, but has it's limits.
pros:
- memory card
- 1080p
- 720p at 60 fps is lovely (good for slomo's)
- light/small
- good stills
- half decent mic
- flash and light built in
- awesome macro
cons:
- grainy in less than ideal light.
- mic pics up electrical noise in very quiet environments
- autofocus sometimes a bit slow
- it can't quite get smooth 1080p if there's a lot of camera movement. Has a 'tearing' effect, guessing due to the hooooj bitrates it's having to record.
- no setting for 720p at 30 fps. (60fps means fast shutter speed, needing lots of light).
- no lens thread for fisheyes etc(i'm seeing modifications to mine in the near future lol)
- as with all high def cameras, needs fast puter for playback!

So, got the pads today - now THATS quick service lol! 12 hour delivery lol.
So, set about swapping them and no problems whatsoever (that's a first!). Freed the piston a little, fitted all and took it for a spin, perfect - the pedal's lovely nowthe feedback is a little vague since they need wearing in, but should hopefully pass the balance test.
You can see where i ****ed up the old pads lol:

Fitted the injectors too, upped the fuel pressure and it seems to be much happyer, but it's thrown my fuel table out of whack so need to re-do the idle regions on that now. Still though, something aint right at idle - sounds too scooby-like. Will pull the plugs out and check compression tomorrow.
Also spotted some oil on the engine bay underneath the turbo, aaah the joys.. I reckon it's that ****ing oil return giving me jip again

Don't forget to put spark plugs of the right heat range, if not, your engine will not run good, and your readings will be false.

Thanks bart, i dont know what heat range i should be aiming for to be honest, i just stuck the ford rs turbo ones in(i keep forgetting to close the gap aswell i think they're still at 1mm)
