| My Astra Coupe Turbo As some of you might know i had my corsa xe up for sale because i couldnt justify spending the money on it that i wanted to, After a few people messing me about last monday it sold leaving me with £1500 towards my new car which i decide was going to be a turbo, after looking through the net i decided on either an ibiza cupra or a mk4 astra read a few bad things about the cupras so decided i was staying vaux. Next decision Sri Turbo or Coupe Turbo.
Last Tuesday the decision was made when Me the missus And Donvaux set off up to birmingham to view a Titan Gold Coupe, when i saw it on autotrader it grabbed my attention straight away as most of the coupes in this colour are the 1.8 version. Arriving I decided i loved the colour and after a bit of haggling the deal was done and the car was to be picked up on the following saturday.
So saturday came and slightly hung over from friday me and don headed of up to birmingham again to get it.
Im really happy with it and have now sorted a few things which were used to drop the price, the main being the eml was on which turned out to be a bad earth on the map sensor causing the boost to cut.
Anyway i have a few things i would like to do to it over time which i will update as and when i get things done.
Just a few i have in mind at the moment are.
Get the paintwork right feels a bit rough and unpolished at the moment
Get the wheels refurbed
2.2 airbox
Phase one remap
Milltek exhaust system
35mm drop all round
Private plate next month
And probably a few other things
A few photos of the car when i got back saturday and a few little things ive done so far
Got a delivery this morning from turbo chris a badgeless grille and tc button, just need to get the loom now
Also receieved some standard window switches to replace the ones with blue leds and a grille badge off the bay
New Grille all fitted
Need to modify the release tab now
Enjoy

I think you can buy the TC cut out bit from Vauxhall and it plugs straight in to the loom. Can't remember where I read it though. |

the tc is horrible when it kicks in, if you give it abit round a roundabout and it kicks in you can feel it kill the power what a stupid idea |

| Re: My Astra Coupe Turbo lovely colour allways loved the gold ones and as u said not many turbo versions, not kean on the plates or the cheap £19 grill with a irmy badge on looks cheap, get a proper cross hatched irmy griff ftw. So what u got planned next? remove the bertone side badges? gsi bumpers look sweet on the coupes check mine out: |

At the moment i just want to get the little things sorted until after christmas. Altough thanks to don i now have a bailey dump valve to fit when i get a take off pipe |

| Re: My Astra Coupe Turbo rite decide im not gonna spend too much on it until after christmas just little things for now, looking at gauges at the moment just to keep an eye on things probably just get boost and oil pressure for now. after christmas i intend to get miltek exhaust, precat and then vxr turbo so elgan if you can get them will be intouch mate. im thinking it would be wise to do these mods before a remap to get the map best for the mods. |

| Re: My Astra Coupe Turbo rite not much of an update as like the rest of the country im skint , a few things have arrived in the post over the last few days, firstly my gauges came from america after looking through a few different types i decided to go for the glow shift gauges as i wanted something that looked similar to my standard clocks.
One Oil pressure and one Boost/vac Pressure
I bought another set of dealer sport mudflaps and unlike the corsa this time i will fit them as im fed up of the ****e being flung up the back of the car, not to sure if they will look right on the car yet if not i think i will get some with just a vauxhall badge on.
The documents arrived for my new plates last week so had a look on show plates and ordered the style i wanted ready to transfer over next week for my birthday
Nothing silly just the legal 3d font and honeycomb background with a black border.
Yesterday i fitted my gauges into my autoleads stereo blanking plate ready to be connected up.
And fitted to my dash, need to get hold of some of the folia tec carbon sticky stuff, halfrauds want £30 a roll so looking for somewhere else to get it from.
Im going to swap the postion of the headunit and the gauges around as they are too low to see properly.
And the new gauges compared to my standard clocks
More updates when i get things fitted and more bits arrive
