Re: My Gsi Nova XE - 3 Years later :)

Wiring tied up a bit and new Rocker and Cam belt cover courtesy of Nick J.

Fresh oil and filter and the interior half put back

also gave my other toy a little clean

Have to lose the red hoses and a new strut brace among other things to finish it off.

Any comments welcomed

Re: My Gsi Nova XE - 3 Years later :)

Cheers Guys found the car back in 1999 with 37k genuine miles on the clock. The garage had it for 6 months then the guy I bought it from had it. He was a police man in england and brought it to Northern Ireland and put it in a garage. The only paint the car has seen is in the engine bay, apart from that it is 100% original.

Started buffing it today and it seems to be coming up well. Will get a few pics up when it is done

Re: My Gsi Nova XE - 3 Years later :)

The splitter was put on when the rear disc conversion was done about 2001 i think. At the time everyone had lagauna splitters and i wanted something different. I think it makes the front look nice and low. BUt each to their own. lol

The gixxer has all the power i would need over here on our little bendy roads. Nice and light through the corners.

Re: My Gsi Nova XE - 3 Years later :)

front splitter looks good imo i wouldn't mind putting one on my car, gives it a better look, GSX-R's are awesome bikes my next door neighbor has a thou on a 56 plate (i think) how come yours is black though as i thought they were always the blue and white except that one which was yellow and black iirc.

Re: My Gsi Nova XE - 3 Years later :)

The GSXR is 06, it was the first of the new shape in the shop when i bought it. At that time they where blue/white, black/silver and black/black.

Almost bought a S2000 at the time, but the sales man looked and talked to me like something he wiped off his shoe, so that went out the window lol.

I had a ZXR 400 but it broke the timing chain and i had no confidence in it after that so it had to go.

Both the bike and the nova look awesome, I've got one of those splitters, I can never decide weather or not to put it on, had it on for a while but it used to catch everywhere so took it off, might put it back on now though!!

Me too. I tore the fr bumper off the day I fitted it, leaving my driveway.
I hadn't even lowered it at that point.

Re: My Gsi Nova XE - 3 Years later :)

I was quite lucky, never had any real trouble, although some one in the local council has a fascination with speed bumps as they are everywhere inthe town now. So might have to do something if i drop the car again
