My corsa c20let

Heres a few pics of my new corsa turbo. I was looking at building one myself but I got this for £2000 so worked out a bit cheaper. It has got a frontera fmic,2.5 inch s/s exhaust coilovers and v6 brakes. All that needed doing was a new inlet manifold gasket as it was split, the brakes bleeding and filling fulll of fluids. Its a bit tatty a the mo but I will be working on cleaning up up and making it handle a little better.

I helped Chris with that engine conversion, quite a good shell, can't believe he sold it so cheap.

Re: My corsa c20let

Its clean, just needs the front tidying up. The car wouldnt tick over so I did a compression check and found a had nothing in the first cylinder. Turned out I had burnt out a few valves. So the engines out to get some work done. Work so far . . .

Full f28 rebuild with quaife diff

Power steering kit fitted

Frontera front mounted intercooler and silicone pipework

Chris Astley uprated hubs/bearings and equal length shafts

New valves all lapped in.

Set of avo coilovers

Will get some pics up this weekend if I get chance

Re: My corsa c20let

looks very similar to my old corsa turbo, except mine was on an L plate.

good choice to fit the f28 with a diff, whats the linkeage like to setup? heard it can be a bit of a nightmare..

Re: My corsa c20let

looking good so far. When you get some springs for your coilovers can you let me know where you get them from please if buying new that is as my avo's dont lower that much and seen people with same ones go lower so kinda frustrating as its slammed on rear but quite high at the front

I take it back!!! Having mega problems with the gear linkage??! Its as though there is something blocking the rod that comes out of the gearbox to the linkage. The gearstick will only go up and down when connected and will not go left at all. Is this a common problem or could it be a problem with the rebuilt gearbox?? Thanks, Ash

Re: My corsa c20let

The linkage has already been modified as car was already running an F28. Sounds like the linkage isn't adjusted right or the selector wasn't located in the right place when the box was put back together.

Re: My corsa c20let

All sorted now the guy had put the selector rod back in wrong. Wish id have checked before I had put everything back together and just had the gear linkage to do but nevermind. So now i have got it all back together with the quaife diff and equal length shafts and it drives a lot better. I also fitted a set of chips I had yesterday and my alesios. Just got to tidy up the body work now and take a few pics
