    Hows this going?

Just been speaking to chris at CMComponent's. Have arranged to have a pair of doors, a pair of wings and a bonnet done for 4 weeks time

Might need some guidance on hanging them..... Its hard to tell from your pics but can window rubbers and lower weather strips still be used?

nothing to update at moment, been out of work since christmas and been helping mates with there cars, i have the money to get it running right (ECU) and paint and few odd/sods but dont really want to spend till i know whats happening on job side of things just incase

i had the rubbers on and was ok, never tried the metal surrounds but i think i will be getting rid of rubbers and bond/screw them in, fitting the doors is easy tbh done it twice now, plus you will have your standard doors to double check measurements before you cut

decided to have a tinker with direct to box gear linkage set-up for the nova that came with the car (removed it because it was stuck solid)

after stripping it down and clean up

after opening it up the bar had slipped round inside i think something is missing attaching the bar, i forgot to take a picture but does anyone have a picture of inside theres to give me an idea ?

also took engine out of corsa ready for c20xe conversion

a little bit of surface rust to clean up but solid

I wondered what had happened to this.

Keep at it. Would be nice to see you get some use out of it.

We agreed a deal on some doors, wings and a bonnet for £500. But the cars been tucked up until today so wasnt too bothered. Fitted an Xe on 45's today so might start buying more bits for it.

Its a good deal. But soon doubles when factoring in colection fuel and bodyshop costs,

managed to get a few little bits done today, clutch cable, had to use another throttle cable to R1 carbs and cut it shorter so i now have 2 working pedals lol

tacked the gear linkage in and abit of cutting

    before

    after

i will clean everything up once every things sorted, also took picture of iinside the gear lever/linkage,

i have been trying to find out some info is it just me or is there something missing ? ford type 9 ?

backward and forward movements ok-ish but must be something missing for side to side to twist the bar ?

video below, first time running, blowing on mani only had 2 nuts on, air temp and lambda sensor wasn't plugged in also need to get new radiator and pipe

Soory I must of missed it, who did you get to do the fibreglass panels for you? Thinking of getting a bonnet and maybe a bootlid for my MK3 Astra.
