Astra Gsi16v (replica 1998) FRANCE

Hello !

I am Julien From France (Montpellier)
And here are my OPEL ASTRA F TDS GSI bodykit pictures from 1998

Enjoy it !

2001 when I bought it :

Then I changed the 14” wheels with 205/50/15 Gsi alloys wheels :

Then I bought a Gsi grill and fixed it on my car as quickly :

Few times after I found an Astra Gsi from 1992 in a scrap yard, 200kms
from my home so I took the front Gsi bumper, Recaro seats and the rear spoiler in leaving the rear gsi bumper broken:

And I found the rear gsi bumper for only 15€ in another scrap yard !!

As the same time, I sticked Gsi side skirts on the car :

Now I need to fix the Gsi body kit on the car !
Show must go on !!!

Cleaning the 4 wheels interior !

and exterior :

Front Gsi bumper :

Now I need to lower the car ( - 5 cms front – 3 cms back )

Smooth the OPEL badge on the grill :

Tinted the rear lights with Black Magic :

BEFORE and AFTER the conversion :

ASTRA SHOOTING 2007 :

1998- 2008

that is looking great. Glad to see you changed the headlights over to match the grill.

The only give away is the ariel on the drivers side. GSi had ariel on the roof.

Did this cost you a lot of Euros to make into a replica?

SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH !!!

I don't know if we can say that, but here are the prices:

Gsi front bumper = 100€ but I sold 1 headlight 100€ so it costed me 0€
Gsi rear bumper = 15€
Gsi interior = 500€
Rear Gsi spoiler = 50€
4 Gsi wheels= 180€ ( 4 tyres 600€)
Gsi side skirts= 60€
Gsi badge= 12€

Painting = 450€

total = about 1300€..........that's a little bit expensive that's right !

it certainly looks good. Are you keeping the engine or planning to change it?

Unfortunatly I kept my diesel engine because I am not good enough to swap an engine....
The Gsi engine was a 8v with only 90000 kms = 56000 miles from 1992. It was a stolen car.

My engine is an OPEL 1.7 l TDS from 1998.

TDS means an Isuzu engine I think. The Isuzu TD engine can be tuned quite well. Have a look at this thread for some tips if you want........ http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/engin...ing-guide.html

T = Turbo
D = Diesel
