My Calibra Turbo - minter, 24k

Again, shuda had this posted ages ago...

took a flight from belfast to glasgown then to Norwich to lift this.

1995, one elderly owner from new who sadly died at the start of the year, when he retired he treated himself to a brand spankin cali tubby and it was his 3rd car so only used on special occasions. Has all old mot's etc and the only mods are factory option cat 1 alarm and factory option sony HU wi 10disc changer. He lso had a tow bar fitted to allow him to transport his motability cart on a small trailer, which he used twice apparently.

All tires etc have been rotated as per vauxhalls instructions so 4x4 is grand and has brand new rubber too. It appears the car has wanted for nothing and drives 110% i absolutely love it.

by time i got it home from norwich the milage has just crept past 23k not bad for 1995

colour wudnt have been my choice but the condition is unreal, i cant find a parking dent or scratch on the car, and i guess the few stone chips i have found were more than likely by me on way to the boat!!!

1995 Calibra
4x4 2.0 Turbo (C20LET 205 BHP)
6 speed gearbox
full cream leather heated interior
23k
Air con and sun roof

0-60 6.5secs
top speed 159

pity sun wasnt out to show the colour better, but here's some pics...

took few quick snaps when sun was out, hard colour to get on camera, seems to com out very dark and brit racing green like :S in the flesh it gives nice goldy shine in good light

put some metro plates on jus to freshen up the old tatty ones but some folk dont seem to like them, might seek out some dealer plates before next summer

calibra's goin for storage got it washed underneath on monday so took the good weather and a mate gimme hand gettin it all wax oiled underneath altho its a good dry place its goin to be sitting but thought better do it anyhows

and the only pic i have of the cali and cav together, would have liked to got a few good snaps of the 2 of em together before cali goes but waiting on a coolant hose comin for the cav so its goin nowhere

not much exciting but few pics of her tucked up till nov for mot, then hibernation pretty much for winter bar a few starts and short runs, milage at the mo is just over 24k so in keeping with the average between mots pretty much as its due next month

Absolute amazing car!! Love the colour, you keep mentioning when it goes!!! what are you planning to selll it on? I will be highly intersted. You can PM me with anticipated price. 0-60 in 6.5sec, 159mph....need I say it leaves 95% of all other cars standing!!

Re: My Calibra Turbo - minter, 24k

Yeah it was for sale in Norwich, i was on the lookout for summat as a daily driver tbh and thought this would be it but its far too good to use for work etc, that would put around 100miles a day on it for me, so when i talked about it going away i was talking about some storage in the garage for the winter which would also allow me to get my cav t finished

yeah think dealer plates are gonna have to happen, have to see which local dealer can do a decent job wi a vaux logo involved perhaps

cars gonna stay pretty much as it is, would like to find an original standard spec cd player for it, missed one on ebay not long ago

I know! the truth hurts, you have to accept the facts, a standard car from the factory doors does it all for you without one requiring any mods to its engine, and lowering its suspension, and re-chipped ECU's, which is a load of bull**** as anyone can put a large powerfull engine in a small car and claim it to be a top performer, this is real bollocks so you need to get your blinkers out mate, be realistic and don't be a dreamer.

Get your blinkers out and check this: 0-60 in 6.5sec, Top speed 159mph. the rest is unimportant.

Re: My Calibra Turbo - minter, 24k

Just seen your CavT thread. Not only do you own 2 of Vauxhalls flagship models, i'd go as far to say you own 2 of the cleanest and standard examples!

When you breaking them then?! Joke!

Seriously, example you got there.

Re: My Calibra Turbo - minter, 24k

did i miss summat? lol

think there's a lot of different info quoted on figure but they were stats i found, lovely driving cars and plenty of power in standard trim, altho i did chip the cav and do some other bits and bobs, the cali will be stayin as it is!!
