Jays Miami Blue Nova Project!

Havent really thought about doing a project thread but iv'e got all my pictures together so here goes!

I have a 1992 Vauxhall Nova 1.2 Spi.

First off this is the pic of when i bought it it was pretty much standard, apart from the hidious Bk wheels, and some 40mm lowering springs.

Was an alrite car to be honest but needed my attention and a little bit of money on it.

Didn't really have a lot of money by the time i got it home so i tryed to spend as little as possible but get as much as i could done. Started by de-badging the whole car, added an espace splitter and that was it for now untill i had some money.

Re: Jays Miami Blue Nova Project!

Then the cat was rattling so gave it a de-cat from an earlier model, Red euro rear lights, cav cesero wheels, started prepping my corsa wheels and some stamped plates.

So then i wasn't happy with the ride height so i bought some budget coilovers from ebay, fitted them up and was happy with the end result.
Whilst doing the coilovers i changed the clutch, it was starting to slip, also swapped the ceseros for some slabs.

Re: Jays Miami Blue Nova Project!

Lose the front grille badge....

Don't have a colour coded front bumper....

Single wiper is so 1990, don't do it.

Apart from that... Keep up the good work!!

Very nice clean shell, looks really nice what you've done. Agree about the grille badge tho.
Gotta say i like the cersos rims tho most, very clean gsi interior, cant believe you cut winder holes in the door cards tho..
Think it will look nice with the colour coded gsi bumpers, wind them coilovers down too.

Re: Jays Miami Blue Nova Project!

Will probably keep the badge because when I put the engine in and bumpers on it will be a semi gsi rep

The coilovers are budget and have no helper springs in and if I lower them more the coil-over adjuster will rub on the front tyres, I can deck it but will have to use spacers. I am not to keen on them, will get a set of full gaz coil-overs at the end of November.
