| First Corsa Track Car Hi,
Just thought I'd post the progress of my Corsa SRI Conversion/rebuild to a top spec track car on a medium budget, I started the project about 2 months ago. The shell was in fairly decent condition with only minor repairs needed but to make sure had the full inside and outside floor pans sand blasted. OH GOD found a few bits more but nothing to worry about. The two front legs needed cutting out and full replaced so i sent the shell to a bodyshop/welding engneer to have all the repairs done and have all the drain holes etc fullu welded. Shell should be back end of this month. Then its off to my best mates workshop, Lee from Fuison for a one off chunky monkey roll cage.
I have sent the rear beam, front arms, pedal box, anti roll bars and anything else i could find to be powder coated in baby blue.
Engine I bought a 20 redtop off ebay with a F16 gearbox, engine has been fully stripped and i am in the process off rebuilding, Gearbox i sent away to be fully rebuild at a cost of £200.00.
Got load new bits will add photo this weekend.
When I add photos if you see something that looks wrong could you all please give me your opinion.
This is my first vauxhall project built cosworths before.
This is my last build

Why not fit a bodykit? Bodykits do look good as long as there done right, and judging by the quality of the work so far iv got good hopes for it. Makes a change from the usual boring corsas that all look the same these days! |
